[MOD] Stock camera SurroundShot apk fixed for Oreo

A flashable zip to fix [to] the SurroundShot of the stock samsung camera on oreo


Based on mods to semcamera.jar framework

Add needed smali from nougat framework to deodexed oreo semcamera.jar

Will wipe cache and dalvik-cache to be safe



Download zip, go to recovery, backup your phone in case, flash. Reboot, install the apk aNond enjoy!

Uninstaller zip replace the stock semcamera.jar files


Edit : After a few tries, I managed to edit only SurroundShot apk, so the mod works now for non rooted Galaxy devices!

It works, thanks you so much. Just one issue: after taking the picture, the gallery says it can't open the file due to incompatible file.

Hmmm I'm not using the samsung gallery so I don't notice this issue. For now I only can advise to use an alternative photosphere app viewer...

Do not wait for a reply from samsung! It should work now for non rooted galaxy devices on oreo

It works now on my non-rooted s8, however the auto/undo/gallery shortcut and stop recording buttons don't work, however if i click above the stop recording button it works.

It works now on my non-rooted s8, however the auto/undo/gallery shortcut and stop recording buttons don't work, however if i click above the stop recording button it works.

Yes all buttons aren't aligned with tactile response...
You have to touch approximatly 1cm above the buttons.
Surely because of the new screen ratio of the s8 and s8+. I'm trying to fix that and to allow a entire full screen.

Great, thank you. Works well except unable to stop once I've started - only after capturing all the required shots can I press a button to save. Note 8 Verizon non-rooted OEM version...

Thanks for this great plugin, any chance you could do it with the note 8 version? It does not matter that much, it's only a cosmetic issue but I (and many more) would probably appreciate it. Thank you

(BTW this does work with note 8, it just does not fill the whole screen)
