This is no longer supported.

Here is a flashable zip of the LG G2 Keyboard that works on JB 4.3 and Kit at 4.4. This can be flashed in CWM or TWRP.

Download the following zip for Kit Kat 4.3/4.4 CM/ASOP:

http://d-h.st/rHv

Directions:

Reboot into recovery

Flash Zip

Wipe Dalvik

Reboot

And your outcome is this:

A fully functioning stock keyboard

If you are having an issue on your G2 with the split keyboard function, use the below zip instead. This is not an issue with all ROMs, so you may have to try both.

Enjoy

Later
Steve

Note: Voice input does not function on 4.4 Roms.

A quick thanks is appreciated, if you can click on the download link you can hit the thanks button.

Dont try this on Clean Rom it soft bricked my phone Verizon.
That sucks but looking at clean rom, it is an unusual(being still stock based) rom compared to most being built off CM/AOSP 4.2.2. Clean is just for Verizon and being Odex still, you may want to ask the dev to manually add the stock keyboard in or do it yourself by extracting the files of the zip and setting them in the correct folder, set ownership and then permissions.

Thanks for reporting though so other users do not have the issue.

This isnt for stock ROMS.

Its for the AOSP type (Im assuming because there are no 4.3 based stock roms). AHAHA

CleanROM is stock based. Which I guess now classifies as unusual.

BTW: This keyboard is already in LG based ROMS and not needed for them.

Finally the LG keyboard install!

Can I use this on Tmobile/PowerUser 1.2 ROM or will it annihilate my phone?

The zip flashes fine on the LG OG pro stock firmware without issue and works fully without adding the build prop lines. If you try, make sure to backup before and you may have to still add the build prop lines, I looked at the ROM's page and I really can tell how far in depth he went into deleting needed files. You could always manually push the files too.

When flashing it gives me a zip signature verification error. Is this expected? The Dev for the ROM I'm using posted an LG keyboard flash, too, but has the same error. I tried turning off the verification option with his and it installs but when trying to activate the keyboard it crashes.

Your best bet is probably to extract the files and manually put them into the folders, set permissions and reboot. Even though the files in my zip are directly from my buddies G2, it for some reason does not like flashing to them.

I think I can figure out how to put the files into the right folders, but I'm not sure about setting permissions? Could you provide some information on that, please?

Thanks!

I use root browser.
Install into folders
Hold down in file
Hit set permissions
Set to 644
Hold on file again
Set ownership to root/root

Do this for all and reboot

I like the numbers being on a separate row, but the IQ of the keyboard drives me crazy. On AOSP keyboard, if I spell something not in the dictionary and it autocorrects, hitting backspace will put it back to how it was before it changed it.

On the LG Keyboard, when it changes it and I backspace, it stays the same. Oddly after it changes my word like 2-3 times with me hitting backspace, eventually it will revert back to my original word. Never does it on the first or second or third time usually.

I still like the LG keyboard though. Does this include the themes too? That wood theme is butt ugly.
