if you guys used to mod apks only to get that option, now its possible without it, you can enable it in a matter of secs with Substratum

Make sure to have latest Substratum beta here or here

it can be used with other mods & it will probably work on other OEM's ROMs

Enjoy!!

I first flashed the zip from the OP here: https://xdaforums.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-navbar-tuner-android-nougat-t3446791 but nothing shows up in the System UI tuner except status bar and 'other' and do not disturb. Found this thread and installed substratum and the Navbar tuner enabler. Still nothing shows up after running substratum and checking the Navbar enabler. Did a reboot. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong - on 7.1.2. As a heavy Samsung user this is annoying having those 2 buttons swapped.

Got it - totally new to substratum and didn't see that you need to install the overlay of the Navbar enabler.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Labs

If all you want is full systemui tuner for Oreo flash this. If you want this and more go to my aroma thread and flash that. Oreo navbar tuner is not the same as 7.1.2. This is not substratum but should work.

I can't get this to work on my Honor 6X with EMUI 5. It won't enable the System UI Tuner after install.

this is great. But doesn't work on Sony Z3C Lineage 14.1

edit: nevermind, I got it working! :victory:

The hold edit button activity start not working seemed to be the problem. Run this command in Terminal Emulator.
Code:
su
am start -n com.android.systemui/com.android.systemui.tuner.TunerActivity

I found the activity quickly via the app MyAndroidTools. Thanks very much for a great mod! :good:
