Can I extract the SystemUI.apk from the zip and replace the original SystemUI.apk in "system/app/"

Yes... You can! Make sure to set the right permissions after copying the file (i.e.: 0644).

The clock depends on "Set 24-hour format" option for showing the AM/PM sufix!

I'm from Brazil and here we use 24-hour format, so there's no AM/PM indicator!

Getting FC's for SystemUI all the time.

Isn't it possible just to replace the .png's of the battery + xml's and jar for clock and battery?

So you don't have to flash a whole SystemUI and other Mods would exist still.

I switched from Jamal ROM because the author was releasing too many versions (currently in v12), while m3dd0g ROM is rock solid and with great battery life despite being v4 yet.

If you want, send me your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk... I'll cook up a package for you! =]
