And that's where the problem is - I can't find a tool which can decompile this APK. APKTool 1.5.3 and APKChanger (which is based on it) fail with the same error. Mind shedding some light on what you used to decompile it?

how do you compiled it after editing? im getting some errors when i try to compile after i edted. so i read through the apktool thread and the developer said i could just put the values folder after editing with winrar into the keyguard.apk. i tried it but the color still dont change

I am currently on 38R. When i flash a zip from the OP (f.i. dark grey keyguard) then my phone pops up with "cyanogen lockscreen has stopped working" .
am I forgetting something?

You have to recompile the apks using the same apktool that you decompiled it with.

Just dropping the values folder into the compiled apk won't work.

It works fine for me...

I assume you installed framework-res.apk before decompiling

now i followed this guide exept the last step of sign/zipalign http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805408
(and yes, i installed the framework)
and i was able to recompile the apk, but if i replace the old (1,9megabytes) keyguard with the "new"(1,5megabytes) one i have no lockscreen anymore.. really confusing things :laugh:

You can't just directly replace the old APK with the new one... I remember that you should replace resources.arsc in the old APK with the one in the new APK, and then use this "old" one.

In an effort to customize my keyguard a little bit, I created a mod to edit the panel in the stock One+ lockscreen to better match my case (brown Nilkin) and theme. Previously there was a mod to change the color...but I took it a step further and changed the color to an image. Try changing the hex colour code for default_text_palette_highlight in \res\values\colors.xml to the colour you want instead of the default blue.

To change colour of text i found here in your post, but to use a custom image as wallpaper what png i have to change? I searched around thread but not found, maybe i miss to see

EDIT: i decompiled apk and see kgbg.png inside res\drawable-xxhdpi, but for sure i think there is a modified xml with some string point to this png, because in original apk i not see this image

Hello all,

Just to be clear. I didnt have the lockscreen mod before I updated to 38R. I updated to 38R with the modded update with a sideload.

I tried a couple things to install this Keyguard mod and just keep getting Keyguard failing to load. I flashed back to 38R with a 33R Stock KG and then tried to update to 38RKG and it happens again. I'm a little lost.

Can someone just tell me how to do this right? Much appreciated.

Um, sorry to bother, but decompilation still fail with error.
Does this mean I'll have to install OnePlus One's framework, or a regular CM11 framework will do? Or is there something else that's the culprit?

EDIT: NVM, tried installing a framework from a CM11 build at hand, worked nicely.

EDIT2: Compared stock keyguard's extracted contents to a modified one... Unfortunately there are too many differences for me to know what they do. I just want to be able to adapt this panel image mod for all CM11 devices. @NunHugger if you don't have time for that, can you tell me what you did to achieve these mods, so that I can attempt to apply them on the universal mod I mentioned before?

Quite simply, no. Force applying this will make your device lose its lockscreen.
Which is why I asked @NunHugger if he can take a look at the port, and whether he can share how to do the mod so that I can apply it to the port. No answers for now.
