Well I didn't know we were so local to each other. if this works I'll spiff for a meal at "Pie & Burger" LOL..Best dam Cheese Cake in the SGV!! worth every penny of $37.00 LOL

So I was toying around with trying to remove compression because none of the methods that are currently in use really do the job 100%. Pretty sure I got it but I wanted to make sure first.

I would like for those of you who have a ROM with 'uncompressed MMS' enabled to do a test for me:

I would like for you to attach the following picture to a message and send it then verify the size, which should be 1.2MB and report back.

Okay, it shows the right size in the message body, so what right? What does it look like received on the other end? Here's a screenshot of my GMail account after receiving the picture from my phone, and is what yours should look like if your MMS apk is truly uncompressed and you've sent the photo to yourself or email address.



Now, initial tests with a buddy of mine say that compression works on both the receiving and sending end. So both parties will need an uncompressed MMS apk for this to even work properly.

If your results are like mine, then you have a truly uncompressed MMS apk, but if not, I will attach mine as well as instructions on how to enable it.

EDIT: Thank you to all the testers in this thread. It has been confirmed successful and working.


The mod is below. Flashable in recovery. It is for deodexed ROMs.
