For anyone wanting an easy way to add all these tweaks.
1. Use root explorer (or other) to get build.prop on the sdcard.
2. Use dropbox to upload to you computer.
3. Use notepad++ to edit tweaks into build.prop (use control f to see if they are already in your build.prop. if they are either change them or leave them.
4. Use dropbox to download the edited file back to your phone. (make sure you save the original file as build.prop.backup so you have a backup)
5. Use root explorer to make the edited file back to /system
6. Reboot and enjoy.

@OP, I was just wondering, I've set my wifi scan to 500 because I want to choose when I connect to a wifi and when it scans. Is there anyway to turn the scan off execpt when I want to manually scan?

That is not your baseband it is your android build number. The build number that sony give to each build they release. That is the only number you can change. Unfortunately you can't change the android version number.

Thanks but that just stops you being notified that there are open networks available. For it to know that, it would have to have scanned for any network anyway. So yeah doesn't help.

i was just curious as to what these 2 lines are for cause i see htc in there and my phone is a nexus s 4g and wanted to know if these build prop tweaks would work with my phone but here are the 2 lines i was talking about....not sure if there only for an htc or not?????
