Boeffla Kernel added Kexec hardboot commit. It's specifically for OxygenOS.
Someone please test and report here :)

I think its time to test.. Will report back! :good:
Installation of secondary works fine (AOSParadox+gapps+supersu). Boot menu doesn't show up though. Set default boot to secondary doesn't work either. Using boeffla kernel.
Seems like primary ROM also does not show up in multirom. Want to try swapping primary-secondary ROM, but don't have the gut yet :p

Hi,

I realized that I'm going to have to setup the entire device tree based on the values predefined within the scripts to build MR. Usually this wouldn't be a problem, but up until now I would edit the scripts to point to my layout which in all honesty is inefficient for what I do. I will TRY to get a build out tonight, but I can't guarantee it. I have a bit of work of my own to do

Thanks for understanding,

RJ

So I have everything set up for starting the build process now but there is one issue. MM sources rely on openjdk 7 (which I have installed) howeverI can't switch to the proper compiler through update config. I just have the option for version 8.

The host system hostis OpenSUSE. The weird thing is I can switch over to Java 7... Just not the compiler (required to build the custom recovery)

Any help would be great. At this rate, I'll have a build up soon. It's just this issue is annoying me. I've tried both the official version and openjdk.

Thanks

RJ

I don't know about OpenSUSE but what I did is in the process of porting you download a Mer Chroot and from this you can Chroot into a Ubuntu 14.04 and there building works. Maybe you can find a Ubuntu chroot somewhere, with that it should normally work. Or check out the Omnirom Wiki there are descriptions for building for many different distros.

Thanks for the recommendation. I got around it by editing the script to point to openjdk 8 and that seems to be working. Right now I am just fixing build errors.

I tried pulling in just the build tools along with the basis for a recovery however I noticed TWRP relies on a lot of Qualcomm blobs so I may need to go back and sync again which would put me another couple of hours behind but I guess I should have read the documentation before blindly setting up a device tree :)

I'll look into an Ubuntu chroot though. It may actually be better for managing multiple projects. Ive just been converting instructions to work with SUSE

Hi guys, so I wanted to try this and install OOS as my secondary ROM to H2OS. It failed after "preparing ZIP file".
Then I tried purity ROM (because I have it in my SD card) but it "failed to create system.img".

what can I flash with this? Which ROMs?

Don't bother, just wait for the new build.
