Changelog :
added sound boost for remaining channels such as VOIP & earphones.
Bluetooth i cannot find how to make louder
Has anyone figured out bluetooth yet? I've tried a variety of changes with no luck. Accidentally soft bricked my phone while trying (^_-). Would really love to turn the bluetooth headset / earpiece volume up a few notches for phone calls.

You can always boost your volume steps in order to further reduce audio, which should make a significant difference. I have mine set at 60 steps and audio is perfect at low level volumes (e.g. 2%).

Just a suggestion.
How do you boost your steps? I've tried gravity box, but it never works for me. Thanks!

Bluetooth?

old Volume boost by boterkaaseneieren mods is locked and doesn't work on kitkat so i had a look at the new soundfiles and i created new sound boost mod.

Howto ?

- download & extract sound mod of your choice to your phone
- Open a filebrowser that supports root
- Go to \system\etc\snd_soc_msm\
- IMPORTANT : copy to a safe place or rename snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 before replacing with the modded file so you can restore if my default settings file don't work for you. If there exist no such file, then this mod is not for your phone
- Set permissions to rw-r-r-
- Reboot.
You now should have louder volume

Don't put at maximum volume with the Super Soundboost if your music is recorded loud allready, you and only you are responsible for your ears and device so use with caution

Let us know if it works on your device also (Kitkat only !)

Credits go to eheinzeiii for showing me what to look for in the soundfiles.

This post was created to make speaker louder
Post 4 has updated files for people who want Everything (except bluetooth) louder

FOR PEOPLE WITH i9506 try this : POST 51
FOR people who can't get louder volume with any off my mods please try this : Post 57

Can you say which line or title refers to the bluetooth volume output? been playing with them and i cant seem to nail it down, wondering if the setting is located elsewhere.

Hi Contrisan
How are you? :)
at the end, i have boght a external Dac connected to the OTG Port

Its an HIFIMEDIY SABRE ANDROID DAC (http://hifimediy.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=124)
its sounds incredible, and not draining the battery.
the problem its the output level.
its like stock internal dac configuration.
its there any way to edit this to boost it?

I have an Sennheiser Hd 439, and there are a nice Headphones, but only have 32 ohms and the sound its so low.

thanks you so much!

Every firmware seems to have different soundfiles lately ? :(

The easiest way to change volume is to do this : (i will explain for speaker, all the rest goes the same way)

1 Copy every file from the directory in your picture to your pc and open them all with notepad++ (you can do it directly on your phone with the built in editor from root explorer but it is much more easy to find everything when working on a pc)
2 search for 'speaker' (it is somewhere in the middle of every file) and after that look a little lower for 'digital volume' -> it will probably be somewhere around 66% by default
3 Change from (+/-) 66 to 70-75% depending on your wish to have louder or super loud speakers (don't go over 75% as it is very loud and might break your speaker !)
It is the same way for every sound option, search for the digital volume for the option you want to change (these parameters are somewhere in the middle of the files) and change from (+/-) 66 into 70 up to 75%
4 Once you have saved you must copy these files back to your phone and set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot to see if it worked.
Its says spekar every where and digital volume too......... this is madness :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
