A voice I just created BETA

It may not work perfectly but it is absolutely hilarious, warning, contains some inappropriate language. by that I mean a fe f bombs and such. I can make a clean version if requested. It's the "Daniel UK" voice, also known as the "MLG voice".

Does anyone have a copy of all or most of the extra TomTom voices still, especially the official snoop dogg one??? I want to make some custom voices for sygic, although without root, I doubt I'd be able to view them or back them up for sharing, but it's easy enough to make them on android, with the app sygic made for recording voices...
(Assuming there are playable audio files to record)

How big would the upload be altogether, and could I get a copy, to see what i can figure out with them, on a project I'm working on that uses the sygic app???

If I can hack my way into the audio, if it's not media player playable, I can possibly re-record the audio using sygics gps voice recorder app for android... as I'm not rooted, I likely can't back everything up, but I definitely want some of those voices, and I cannot find them... ANYWHERE!!! My email address is Wiebenor(at)gmail.com, but I do check here weekly, so a PM is fine for the link, unless you'd rather it be public, although lots of links in this post seem to be dead...

    I just figured out how to port different kinds of voices to Google maps navigation !
    It is not the TTS part . But only for the Google Maps Navigation ! It is possible to port them from other navigation software to Android .

    And most important :NO ROOT NEEDED ! :)
    It is my believe that this is possible on all Android devices wich run Google Maps Navigation . But since i only own an S3 , i only can confirm that it is working at the S3 for the moment .

    *EDIT* I just tested this on my girlfriend's Galaxy Note , SHe has it Stock , and it worked . No hassel , just renamed the original file to : instruction-voices.org.zip , placed the modded one there two , fired up navigation and immediatley i heard the modded voice :D

    Sadly for the moment , i just made one in Dutch wich you can get here

    I've also made one with the voice of Snoop , but since that one isn't finished yet , i shall not post it yet .

    It works like this :
    Open the app navigation , so that the app makes the files on your sd-card .
    When you navigate on your device to :
    \mnt\sdcard\Android\data\com.google.Android.apps.m aps\testdata\voice\
    You will find an map wich contains an voice-instructions.zip file . In that file lies the .ogg files wich contain the voices of the navigation part .
    If you want to place your own voice . Open that voice-instruction.zip file listen to every .ogg file, change every file with an soundeditor program like audacity . When you are finished put al the files.in an .zip with the name voice-instruction .
    Make an back up of the original voice-instruction.zip , and delete it from your folder . Place the modded on there and you are good to go ! :)

    I am not responsible for what happens (to you or others) on the road when you are listening to this or your own creation after following this !:)

    Also an other warning : i've encounterd some residu of the old voice even after replacing the modded voice for the original one ( thats how i got back to stock again ) to get rid of that i deleted the buffer and data in : settings/aplications/all /maps . But doing so it also deleted every route etc.
    Someone gave me the tip to just delete the cache , but i did not come that far yet , so watch out when you follow this , you maby can lose some data ! Again , doing this is at your own risk !

    Any StarWars Fans out there ?

    Hey boys and girls ,

    I am olmost finished with the DarthVader voice for the UK Navigation . But i am desperately searching for some words/sentences . Because i miss some sentences , i missed a lot more due to the different choise of words of TT , but i was able to cut,copy and past some words together and fabricate new sentences i need . But an few remaind , these are the sentences i need :
    in_1_and_a_half_miles.ogg
    in_1_mile.ogg
    in_2_miles.ogg
    in_3_miles.ogg
    in_1000_feet.ogg
    in_a_half_mile.ogg
    in_a_quarter_mile.ogg
    in_three_quarters_of_a_mile.ogg

    For the metric system i also need :
    in_1_and_a_half_kilometers.ogg
    in_1_kilometer.ogg
    in_2_kilometers.ogg
    in_3_kilometers.ogg

    So my question is to the fans , do you know any sentence or words in the film that allows me to make these sentences . I tried with just loose letters but that didn't work out beautiful .

    Here you go :

    The result i came up with until now ! :D Please keep an few things in mind :
    1) This is for the moment , ONLY for the UK and US version .
    2) This is work in progress , so that means unfinished .But useable !
    3) With some dutch voices we encounterd som difficulties with some users that the voice did not work immidiately , how come ??? i honnestley do not know , i am not an specialist , only an hobbyist :)
    4) For this to get to work you may by have to delete cache etc. wich means lose of data wich include stored adresses etc.

    This .zip is to be placed in the folder /storage/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps/testdata/voice/en_GB.ia3ef9dbb . After you replaced the originial file with the file i made , you navigate to the folder /storage/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps/testdata/cannedtts/en_GB.i.c862f575 and erase al the .ogg files there ,
    After this when you start up the navigation and start navigating , you should hear Darth Vader :)

    I am very sorry boys and girls ,
    I apalogize to you , i haven't been much activ on the forums and my project , i shall pick it up again :)

    But still i need an voice_instruction.zip from another country , like america or the UK for example , so i can listen to the voices , wich allows me to make the correct adjustments , otherwise it very well may be that i put the : go left command where you should hear : Go right ! :D We certainly do not want that , do we ? :D

    UK , just found ou : if i change the language of my android device , and restart Google Maps Navigation , i'll get the file aswell , so i started with the UK version and Darth Vader since i was requested the most :)
