Would that actually keep the apps from closing? As soon as you tag the Ouya button to go to the homescreen, anything you'd be running would stop.
The "fix" would probably be a different or modified launcher.

there's a setting .. untick it. anyway, nova launcher. but there are widgets that'll kill background apps -- they do what you'd do if you went into Manage Apps, and stopped the apps there. just haven't got around to it cause so far i haven't really pushed the console too much anyway.

edit: the setting is: developer options / apps / don't keep activities. (towards the bottom). Just untick that, and your processes won't be killed automatically.

I don't know if it's because I used a different set up or not but are all apps saying no permissions required? Also I just got modern combat 3 to download for free????? Says purchased on my other devices

finally got everything working. just a question. what happens if we update apps/ games? will we lose controller support or anything? like i see plez and shadowgun updates but im not sure if i should install them?

I haven't tried yet but shadowgun in playstore has build in controller support. Have played it before with ps3 controller, so I think there will be no problem.

It's going into the play store for me but I get "Connection timed out" with a retry button.

I am having the same problem I get into the play store but it keeps timing out and the play store module under the xposed installer is not allowing me to put a check mark it just says this module does not provide a user interface how can I correct this?

Use the trackpad on the Ouya controller to tick the box. Then reboot again.

I have the same , but not all apps just some.

Works great though I had to do the manual option..

Everything works fine, but as soon as the Ouya boots, "Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped" appears. This seems to also happen at random moments. Apps that require play work though. Anyone else experiencing this? Using Nova launcher.

I got that at first but after ticking the box under the xposed installer I left mine on for two hours on the google store with no issues the only thing was when I tried to install the additional files for the dark knight it would not download unless I was on WIFI

On a different notes does anyone know how to get the usb drives to work I need to be able to install my big android games that are more than 500mb.

I managed to get my Play Store up and running, however upon selecting install on my applications, they all automatically go straight to INSTALLING, but don't progress past there.

I'm currently on ethernet and I'm wondering if that makes a difference. I'll put myself on wifi and see how it goes.


EDIT: I took out my ethernet cord, turn on wifi, and all my downloads started just fine.

MC4 does work! Haven't tested NOVA yet. I used a Moga Pro controller, though. Might have to use an app to map the buttons for the Ouya controller.

N.O.V.A 3 does not work with the Ouya controller, tested last night.
Haven't tried with 360 or PS3 controller.
