Just validating... you've removed the connection to the Google account and put it back in again, right? Even on my phone, sometimes when ROM changes happen it will sometimes forget how to sign into the account properly and I need to remove it and put it back in again. And that's without needing framework hacks to get the store in...

tried script and manual installation.
Ouya is rooted, busybox installed and Xposed framework

PlayStore shows up in the Make menu but on any attempt running it closes itself.

I got it to work now but I'm randomly getting "Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped."
Is there a way to fix this?

edit: still getting more forcecloses like "ouya-framework" ...
either I did something wrong or this mod has issues with the latest firmware.

Not entirely sure what you mean here exactly. I have cleared data on the playstore . but that doesn't fix it.

For me, it was when I unchecked the "keep me updated on Google play offers" box or whatever it is called

Need to actually remove the account.

Manage->System->Advanced->Google->Your Email->Ouya Button (tap, don't hold)->Remove account.

If you don't remove the entire account and it gets corrupted, downloads just... won't work. I get it every time I flash a new ROM and try to restore my accounts with TB rather than adding it the right way. :D

Thanks for the reply. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if there's soothing wrong with my system, but nothing happens (I'm not getting the option to remove the account) when I do what you suggest. If I use my mouse, I takes me to the sync tab for the Google account.

Still at a a loss.
:'(

OK. In think I've got it now thanks.

I lost the Play Store with the recent update. When ever I open busybox it says there's a problem opening shell with root access. Does that mean I have to root the ouya again?

yes, you do have to root it again...just use the ouya toolbox v1.1.2 by foil over at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2350900 download the test version and with one click on that tool will root your device automatically in a few seconds... :D

just remove all the files you copied onto your Ouya.

Code:
adb shell
su
rm /system/app/com.android.vending.apk
rm /system/app/com.google.android.gms.apk
rm /system/app/GoogleLoginService.apk
rm /system/app/GoogleServicesFramework.apk
rm /system/app/NetworkLocation.apk
and uninstall the mod and xposed framework,
