Install apk inside the AOSP mods zip like a regular apk

Like this is insane, I've tried it like 5 minutes ago, it worked, so I went here to inform that I managed to fix it and how. Then I read this -_- You're right, but.... where were you few days ago xD

So for others... When your AOSP Mods apk is stuck at some older version (mine was at 2.4.0) and you've tried everything to reset LSPosed/Magisk/AOSPMods... Just try to install the apk from the zip, or you can also find it somewhere inside /data/adb/modules/AOSPMods/...

I searched the thread, but maybe I didn't look correctly. Am I the only one having a problem with the separate WiFi toggle not working? I try to turn off my WiFi as I'm leaving home, but the toggle stays active. I long press to check the WiFi status and it says it's off. When I go into mods and switch the separate internet tile toggle, the WiFi tile shows off.

It become malfunction once I tried watching YouTube in Fullscreen.
It won't come back to work until I reboot the phone or change system navigation to the other types and change it back.
Ur module is amazing, bring many gestures function back, thank you so much, and looking forward for a solution, now I just stop watching YouTube in Fullscreen on phone xD,
I am using pixel 7 pro btw, Android 13 (ver: May 2023 one)
Once again thank you for ur time spent and all great work u have contributed to us.

After updating the module though the built in option and rebooting the device I can't seem to find the shortcut/icon to open the AOSP module. I used the code *#*#5776733#*#* to open the LsPosed but still can't find anyway to open the AOSP Module. Any help please

Google isn't maintaining that tile anymore. You better use better internet tiles app
Dear sir
May I ask is there a way you could add the type of gesture navigation customization, to 3 button navigation,
such as keeping swipe up action from left / right Navbar, long press back button / task button to toggle other function when we chosing 3 button navigation to use?

Or is there any exsisting module fit for android 13 can do this ?

Thank you for all you have done.

I'm on a 7 Pro running A14 Beta 3. And I just updated to version 258. But it's been doing this all along.
Everything time I reboot, I get the message "Process system isn't responding".
After I close the message, everything works fine.

I don't think it's related to AOSPMods. Maybe just a beta system lag. So probably when the builds are more stable it'll be okay

I tried rebooting with and without different modules and it's the LSPosed zygisk module that's causing the system process not responding message.
LSPosed zygisk module causing such error on my Pixel 6 Pro since a long time ago even when it was on A13. Right now, it is on A14 Beta 3 and still giving such error with LSPosed zygisk module installed and whenever the phone reboot. Like you said, close that error message the phone is working fine. Searching the web doesn't come back with anyone reporting this. I could only hope that some day some how, updating the LSPosed zygisk module could fix the issue (I am now on v1.8.6 (6904)). I have had tried going back to over past 20 versions, it still gave me the same error. If you fine any resolution or any information regarding this, kindly share and thanks.

When an app starts, be it system server, systemUI or any normal app that's enabled in lsposed, lsposed starts attaching itself to it. This, naturally causes some extra load on the system and slowdown. If anything inside the system monitors the speed, it may drop warnings like the one under discussion

Hi, I just updated to 2.9.0 stable (Xposed version) on my Pixel 5a A13(TQ2A.230505.002) and noticed that the mod's Media Volume QS Tile icon now shows the VoLTE icon.

Otherwise, everything works great and I wanna thank the developer for the awesome app!

Qpr1 is problematic, beta 5 works really well. Really depends if Google makes wholesale changes from beta 5 with the official 14
There won't be any noticable changes in stable. So the latest stable and canaries will work perfectly fine

Talking about 14 qpr1 beta, which will be final for December, there's still work to be done. The unsolved parts are QS light theme and the QQS brightness slider which both cause systemUI crash..... Light theme is also almost finished, but a compatible canary won't be out sooner than a week

Last I recall, AOSP isn't working for the latest beta...does that mean no aosp for the stable 14 release tomorrow? If so, I'll wait on updating like I did with the with the latest beta. Any idea how long it'll be for aosp to be A14 stable? Tia...
I'd take a second look at the topic's title..... And the cover banner..... Just in case 😉

Maybe, but something is wrong when you try to use it on OnePlus 11 running latest LineageOS ROM.
First of all, almost every action performed in the app results in a UI restart and I do not mean turning something on/off with switches, but also trying to enter a given settings section. Sometimes even simple scrolling in the app restarts the UI. Phone rebooted to recovery twice while using this app.
I'm not entirely sure whether this module also causes battery drain or is it something else (maybe another module, maybe ROM, maybe phone itself) that's why I asked here because I'm trying to find the cause
The name AOSPMods is becoming very confusing to many people.

That's why we've decided to rename the mod to "Pixel Xpert" to reduce the confusion.

AOSPMods is designed for Pixel stock ROM
    6
When it boots up after having flashed A14 QPR1, a message comes up within AsopMods says that it's not compatible with this OS. I tried importing my config file for the settings and the phone started bootlooping. I was using Asop mod canary version 284 with A14 beta 5.3 before and everything was working fine
    .
AOSPMods is currently compatible with A14, the first issue
    But not with QPR1 yet
    5
Not really! Its working on LOS 20 perfectly (also AOSP ROM) on s21. So not the right name..so if you are fan of Pixelsh*t and than for 5 people, the app should be renamed lool. Where this world goes? This 'brainiacs' thinks the world is spinning around them lool.
I can imagine it gets tiresome for the devs when users report bugs on software the mod isn't designed for. Yes it may work really well on other devices/ firmware but the Devs don't have the devices/firmware to test on. Not matter how many times they post Los isn't official supported users post bugs which is probably the reason they are renaming it

    AOSPMods_Banner_1280.png

This is a mixed Xposed+Magisk module, which is made to allow customizations that are not originally designed in AOSP (Android Open Source Project).

    Features:
Currently, AOSP Mods offers customizations on different aspects of system framework and SystemUI, including:
    • Status bar
    • Quick Settings panel
    • Lock screen
    • Notifications
    • Gesture Navigations
    • Phone & Dialer
    • Hotspot
    • Package Manager
    • Screen properties

    Compatibility:
These mods are designed based on AOSP source code. What does it mean? it means that they are expected to work on Roms (Firmwares) which are built based on fairly unmodified Android source code. This means, mainly, Pixel Phones (3, 4(XL/a), 5(a), 6(PRO/a), 7(PRO)), and any other Roms that haven't heavily modified the original Android codes.

    - Android 12: Compatible
    - Android 12.1 (12L): Compatible
    - Android 13 stable version: Compatible
    - Android 14: Compatible

    Prerequisites:
    - Compatible Roms (see above)
    - Device Rooted by Magisk 24.2+
    - LSPosed (Zygisk Version)

How to install: (Make sure to read post #2 (FAQ) carefully before you proceed)
    - Install the Magisk module
    - Reboot (bootloop is not expected, but user should always be prepared for the worst)
    - You can use AOSPMods app to configure the module

    Variants:
Apart from modification on system elements, AOSPMods also includes a number of system overlays to modify fonts, system icons and colors. However, for those who are not interested on such overlays, we have added an Xposed-only package which, as the name says, only includes the system modification, without such system overlays.

Xposed Package: Includes only Xposed-based modification and has a rather smaller file-size. This is the one that module developers also use
Full Package: Includes everything present in Xposed package, plus additional system overlay options.

You can choose either package, and install the chosen one on your device

The module is released in 2 flavors, which download and update procedures are different:
    • Stable release:
      • Manual Install/Update: through repository's Github release page (link below)
      • Automated updates: through magisk manager, or AOSPMods built-in updater
    • Canary release:
      • Manual Install/Update: from AOSPMods Telegram channel
      • Automated install/updates: through AOSPMods built-in updater, or magisk manager
*No matter which flavor you're on, you can always switch to the other one with AOSPMods built-in updater

    FAQ

Q: I've found bugs, I have suggestions, or I want to suggest a new feature
A: Your feedback will be very welcome. Please head to Github repository (linked below) and report your issue. We'll try our best (and never guarantee) to resolve them

Q: The installation steps are too difficult / I'm not sure how to install the module
A: This mod is made only (and only) for power users who know how to root their device, are fairly familiar with magisk, and are very fluent with adb/fastboot, specially if their device falls into bootloops, etc. IF you're not sure how to work with magisk, adb, bootloaders, root explorers, etc., you're making a huge risk by proceeding with installation of this mod, which we (the authors) cannot bear the consequences. Maybe your device never boots normally, or you can easily lose your data in case you make any mistakes.
So, if you're not sure how to proceed, please (please) stop right here, and DO NOT GO FURTHER. We will not be responsible for any damage caused

    Q: Do you accept donations/payments?
A: This module is not / will not be a commercial product. While we really appreciate your support, we do not / will not accept any payments for this module, in any form
However, if you really feel like it, you can donate to your favorite charity on our behalf, or help funding education for children in need, at Child Foundation

    Q: How can I help?
A: We will be more than happy to receive help, in any way possible. So, If you are a developer and can contribute to the project (which by the way is open source), we will gladly accept your contribution. Even if you're not a developer, you can always help us by opting-in for tests/experiments and provide feedbacks, so that we can further improve the module. (Please send a message to one of the authors)
