Hi Everyone..!!

everething work for me, however whenever I try to play a movie or download my apps it crashes..
is there ayting I can do for this to work.? thanks in advace..

You need to have preserve SU and CWM BOTH installed to make the preserve work right. When it flashes, it asks for root permissions, which you should grant. It will boot to CWM and begin flashing. You need to tell it that flashing is okay, which will require a USB keyboard or mouse since your controller won't connect through bluetooth. After you say that flashing is okay, you'll be at the screen with the reboot back to system selected. Do so. It will ask if you want to disable removing CWM, which you should do (Disable recovery flash). The Ouya will reboot, finish upgrading, and should show you the normal Ouya menu/home screen soon after.

Good instructions but I just want to clarify. I'm on latest StockPlus ROM. Rooted etc. Step 1 is I need to download RC-OUYA-1.0.519-r1 right? (I shut off disable update patiently waiting and thinking it would auto-update.) 2. Next is to disable auto-update from the mod section? 3. After I flash the new stock ROM through CWM am I just supposed to wait for the next release of StockPlus to flash or am I supposed to flash back over with current build of StockPlus and receive the benefits of stock 519?

Pleas explain.

I don't think you can install an OTA on to StockPlus, you definitely can't install StockPlus over a newer firmware version. You can use this mod collection on StockPlus to add gameloft support.

@WonderEkin - I don't have an OUYA but I am thinking about getting one.

I wanted to login and say thank you very much for your hard work and continued support. , not only have you replied to lots and lots of questions, you have also fixed so many issues that other people who aren't as experienced as you have had.

I did not know exactly where to post this but since I followed the directions in the mod to manually update thru system>advanced>check update, I thought I would start here. After downloading the latest Ouya update the Ouya reboots into CWM and starts to install but only gets to about 1/3 then stops. CWM tells me, failed to verify whole-file signature and signature verification failed. I can not pair the controller while in recover so I can not select the option to install the untrusted file. I have downloaded the update via ethernet and wireless and get the same result with both.

I hope I'm not getting too off topic but I have a question about modern combat 4. I did the whole one click root and xposed installer and mod collections following the directions. After I got it all set up I tried blitz brigade to make sure the Gameloft games and controller would work disguised as a moga. It worked and I was excited because now I could try mc4. I downloaded it from Amazon app store and let it install its files. After it installed all the files it just quit. Every time I go back to it whether it's from the make menu, the app store, or from a different launcher it just says mc4 has stopped. Any suggestions?

i don't think you are the only one having this issue with MC4 from amazon app store, i believe someone said that amazon app store updated MC4 recently and after that update MC4 won't work anymore...i don't see why or a reason for people to download the amazon version of MC4 when the google play store version works beautiful, i have all the mods installed along with the google play store the game downloads fine and works with no issues...try the google play store MC4...

Mod Collection had only ever been approved from what I knew, and it was listed as an approved program in the Superuser app with allowed on all the logs. I removed it from the Superuser list but did not get another approval prompt, only the error... Will update post when I know more.

Ok I thought I read that somewhere also. I'll have to try the Google play version then. I get as far as going to open it and it pops up for a second then closes. I tried a few times last night of deleting it and reinstalling with no luck. The mod collection is ticked in modules, play store is on in mod collections, and I did the reboot for it to take place. Don't know why I can't get the store to launch

I had tried this method also after I installed the mod collection and it didn't work either. So I should delete the mod collection then try this method? And then after that reinstall the mod collection? When I tried this method I went to execute runme.bat and it told me there isn't an app to run it

I wish they hadn't removed the "Report App" button, I'd report it. On the plus side, it'd take a moron to install the damn thing. I think everyone who he's ripped off needs to contact Google.


All tools, including no-PC root, worked as promised Asphalt 8 is a bit wonky (doesn't recognize control stick sensitivity), Dead Trigger's nigh unplayable, but GTA works gorgeously. Giving you and your thread a shout-out on my blog.

the mod collection won't ask you to unzip the file, try download the playstore file from here http://d-h.st/3is and sideload it to /sdcard/Download then click the "Install Play Store" button again.

if you can install the playstore but can't open it, try post your logcat.

yes, you should delete the mod collection and then try again, i was having the same issues, every time i went and opened the google play store it would exit and kick me to the OUYA UI and no matter what i tried i wasn't getting the google play store working, so i went ahead and gave my console a factory reset from recovery and then re-installed the mod collection and BANG is back and running again...
