I dont know what to do after turning on the play store? What next? All I got is 4 apk files in my storage. What next?

I thought I was doing the right way. First rooted without pc and then the mod collection. It seems I'm kind of lost on the steps. Thank you anyway!

This is what I am talking about not reading, first-root with pc or without pc, second- install the xposed framework installer app, third- install the xposed framework, fourth-install and check( put a check mark on the box) the mod collection in the xposed installer module section fifth-install the Google play files or push them to the console threw abd, sixth-reboot the console and open the mod collection app and turn on what ever mod you want, seventh- restart you console and your now all set...it's not as easy as you thought, it's not just sideloading the mod collection app and clicking on the Google play store mod and the play store will be availlable to use, that's not how it works, YOU need the XPOSED FRAMEWORK otherwise non of this will work...

Abominable snowman

Having Play Store and xposed framework working fine in my OUYA, i cant make to work the play store after the last update of abominable snowman.
I have tryied all (i think), installed xposed and mod again, vlean cache and data of the play store, installed playstore again and nothing, i cant make it work, so i cant play sideloaded games.
Someone can show me the way?

I had the same problem and iirc this is what fixed it.

Now if I could figure out why the stock browser is crashing.

Personally I am thankful for this collection, but I'm less than pleased with the results. My system is slow, the mod seems unstable, and worst of all there is no easy way to just wipe everything and start over again.


One question for the group, does busy box need to be installed before any of this? It is frequently mentioned, but it is not specifically addressed in the install instructions.

you need busybox if you need the 720p options.

try post the adb logcat, see if I can find why the stock browser is crashing

Your right, i'm with you on this one...i've been wanting to say the same for a while now, i keep having problems with the mod, like it stops working when i go and play dead trigger 2 sometimes and wont allow me to navigate the game menu and it's pretty unstable, but i still love the mods cause they allow me to play games that other wise i wouldn't be able to play on my OUYA...

Thanks for the offer! Thankfully the browser came back, it just started working the next day. It crashed a few times trying to download, then just seemed to even out an works fine now.

Good to know on busybox. I do have it installed but the 720 option still does not work, I guess it was installed 'out of order' or something.

Perhaps the first post could be edited to clearly indicate the order the items need to be installed in? Including busybox since that isn't clearly mentioned. A detailed set of instructions clearly indicating how to undo these mods would also be appreciated, my system just feels dirty, with all kinds of stuff installed/happening without me knowing what. A clear cut way to COMPLETELY remove everything without a hard reset would be great!

i agree with everything you said, specially the "my system just feels dirty" lol, i say this every time i start my OUYA, to be honest i've already given my OUYA 4 resets since i got it in July 1 and all 4 times my OUYA feels clean and healthy again...

ok, asuming that you dowloaded the MOGA pivot app and not the MOGA Universal Driver, try rooting it again with the one click root app, this has happened to me before, when you open the MOGA Pivot app does does it ask you for SU permission? Deos it tell you that it found the MOGA controller and does it offer you to download pac-man for free?...

I ran the root my ouya app, and I have superuser and the moga pivot app. I run moga pivot and it doesn't say superuser granted and it doesn't detect x. X

This happened to me last month...i know people don't like hearing this but a factory reset from recovery is what i did and then did the mods all over again (which took me about 10 minutes to do) and it started working all over again, i'm not telling you to reset your console but it may be your last option if nothing works...try unchecking the box for the Mod from Xposed and reboot your OUYA, then after it reboots go back into Xposed and re-check the MOD box again to activate the mod all over and reboot the console once again and uninstall the Moga Pivot app and re-install it again then run it and see if it's working , if nothing works then a reset is your best bet...If you do decide to reset the console, just root the console first, then sideload and install the xposed installer and sideload the OUYA Mod (but don't activate the MOGA controller MOD just yet) and im pretty sure you know the rest of the process to get the Google play store working...Once you have the google play store running immediately download and install the MOGA Pivot app but don't run it yet, then go to the OUYA mod collection app and activate the MOGA controller Mod and if it says to reboot to make changes then do it if it doesn't then don't( i can't remember if it does asks you), then head over to the MOGA Pivot app and run it and see if it recognizes you controller as a MOGA and if it offers you pac-man for free...

720p fix

Hi,
The 720p resolution is useless. Only for TV which has no support for 1080p. It need something better for performace because with Full HD the Tegra 3 is realy poor!! For example Nenamark2 has only about 40fps, HD phone with Tegra 3 can do about 58fps (HTC One X). I Try GTA Vice City and if I set everything to max it isn't smooth. And next week will come up GTA SA so we need better perfomace. Pls can you fix the 720p resolution. Thanks.

did and do you have Busybox installed? i believe the 720p won't work without Busybox... if you press info on your TV remote it should tell you or show you on the screen your current resolution... my bedroom TV is a 32 inch 1080p 240Hz sylvania L.C.D and i can run my OUYA on 720p from the Mod and when i check my TV resolution by pressing info on my tv remote it shows 720p or 1080p depending on what i have active on the Mod, and my livinroom TV is a 42 inch Panasonic viera 720p 600Hz Plasma and can also run my OUYA on 720p or 1080p even tho my plasmas resolution is only 720p i can still run the 1080p but i can feel the performance difference at that resolution...Also i can run GTA vice city with everything on MAX and it don't lag for me at all, i set both my minimal and max cpu freq to 1.7 and set the governor to PERFORMANCE then i go to the Tegra Overclock OUYA edition app and set GPU to 520 at 720p and it runs like a dream even at 1080p it runs real good...

I overclock Tegra only to 1.6GHz. Poor performance is only because of GPU in this games. I think OUYA could be really good at 720p I don't know why they do not switch settings for resolution even my old MK802+ it has

I can get cifs working with your rom but there's a problem - there doesn't seem to be utf8 support. Have you included nls_utf8.ko in your rom?

Even with busy box installed I cannot get 720 to work using the mod, and the 720 through the tegra Ouya app is 1/4 of my screen.

I dont know if its an issue with my install but I hope a hard reset gets it working. Now, if only I could see the boot loader screen but my TV goes blank when I enter boot loader (I can see cwm, but the text is not visible due to over scan).
