Even with busy box installed I cannot get 720 to work using the mod, and the 720 through the tegra Ouya app is 1/4 of my screen.

I dont know if its an issue with my install but I hope a hard reset gets it working. Now, if only I could see the boot loader screen but my TV goes blank when I enter boot loader (I can see cwm, but the text is not visible due to over scan).
You are right, it's not working for me too with busybox I tried many instalation of busybox no one worked. If I try 720p in this Mod Collection app, my TV indicate 720p but Nenamark is still 40fps, with Tegra Ovecrlock for Ouya it shrink screen but now it's 720p but it's only on part of my TV screen, not fullscreen... Nenamark is now 60fps.

did and do you have Busybox installed?
Are you using stockplus rom? Do you have any idea where could by problem?

So the problem is my TV :(

no, i'm not on stockplus rom, i'm on stock...i watched the youtube video from the link that you put up and i might give that a try and see what happens... my livingroom plasma tv is only 720p, ill see if there's any difference in performance...i will also give Nenamark a shot to see if im on 720p and not 1080p...

My TV can play 1080p if I press OK it show 1080p for HDMI but when I change to 720p with the Overclock app screen shrink like in the video. In this mod App it show like 720p but it isn't TV show 720p but performance is like 1080p. Tegra Overclock is working really great but my TV can handle that change 720p stream, don't know why because MK802+ run in 1080p and I can change it to 720p without problems.

So GTA San Andreas I will propably play at 1600x900. It's about 3/4 of screen but the performance and details quality will cost for that :D
I've tested Epic Citadel with high quality and result at 1080p was 34.1fps. GTA SA at 1080p with same fps would be awesome.

Someone would edit kernel for 720p it will work for me like with MK802+.

ok, i did some testing on my 42 inch Plasma 720p HDTV and i can confirm that the 720p mod don't work at all. Sorry guys, i really feel like an idiot, i thought all along that the 720p mod was really working cause my tv displays 720p but the Nenamark2 says 1080p... Now i ran a few test and took pics of it so you guys can see, i ran a test with the "720p Mod" wich is 1080p, then i ran a test using the tegra overclock using 720p resolution and then with the 900p resolution and tegra overclock 720p performed better...i just wish it was full screen 720p.:(, GTA SA will run better at 720p than 1600x900p.

Ok so back to start, my TV isn't problem :D. I had 59.9 at 720p it isn't perfect but pretty good. It maybe cause overscan, tomorrow I will test overscan setting for 1600x900. Of course 720p fullscreen will be much better.

I was sad so I decided to make better cooling, I will take some pictures. I use 8cm fan at bottom of OUYA so cool air flow from top to bottom and warm air flow through fan and out. Now if I play GTA or run Epic Citadel and quit to Tegra Overclock it showing 54-56°C. I think it can't get above 60°C. Danger temperatures should be above 70°C and critic is 80°C. I'm planning add heatsink to other side of motherboard it could be even better.

i have a acrylic case mod with the stock fan, No-Frills CPU clocked at 1.7GHz minimal and max with governor on performance always while clocking the GPU to 520MHz and my OUYAs temperature never goes above 50c once in a blue it will hit 51c, no matter what game i throw at it, i play Gangstar Vegas on my OUYA every day and Dead Trigger 2 on both of the games running on HIGH graphics and it never goes beyond 50c, if you can see all of the little holes at the bottom of my OUYA really helps it with the breathing but even where the ports are in the back also got ventilation...here is my OUYA with shell mod and it runs waayyy cooler then the stock OUYA shell, it's a lil bigger with more space inside and alot more ventilation...:D

Awesome! :good: I wanted some improvements too, but I have the metal finished brown stock OUYA box from kickstarter and i really like it so I won't change it. The stock fan is noise and it has mini pins like GPU fan, so it's hard to replace. I have few old GPU card but the heatsink and fans are too big, maybe fan from Ati 9650 may fit, I've not tested yet. I wanted add heatsink from old Asus card V7100 (i think) but it's too big :(
Finally i found this: https://dx.com/p/high-performance-copper-aluminum-heatsink-radiator-green-37-x-37-x-6mm-241469
I should fit very well on the backside of MB. I have some sticky thermal label form Sapphire 3850 so it should hold and easily remove.

My cooling solution has about 60-62°C when I gamming a lot :D Do you know if exist some mini pins "hub" to normal pins. I want add normal fan 12V (now I use own adapter tu USB, but Arctic PWM 8 is really slow at 5V, 12V would be more efective.) and keep the stock fan too.

Are you sure about 1.7GHz for every core? I think it's only for first core or maybe first 2 cores. Check it in CPU-Z ;)

Having trouble with playstore timeout. Any suggestions? I rooted with one click root, installed xposed frame works. Then when trying to install through the web it would take a long time to even download the play store. So i grabbed the file and put on usb and installed that way. Now the playstore times out every time i try to access it. What could be the cause?

No,No my dude... " I think it's only for first core or maybe first 2 cores. Check it in CPU-Z "... it's for all 4 cores!!!...I am clocked at 1.7GHz on NO-FRILLS CPU but what's odd is that CPU-Z says that all 4 cores are clocked at 1.6GHz, as you can see in the pics that all cpu-cores are clocked high and running together all of the time...:D

Actually is IS 1.7GHz for one core only and 1.6GHz for 2 or more. Check the Tegra 3 specs. No CPU tool will report that properly as the number of cores in use changes while it's sampled.
Not that it makes any big difference... :)

i even checked with CPU/RAM/DEVICE Identifier apk and it shows all 4 cpu's running and as the picture shows on the left that only one cpu at 1.6 and the other 3 at 1.7, even if one is running at a different speed at least they all run together...sorry i didn't mean to quote my self...:D

But as you can si in this picture it run 1.6GHz fo all core, 1.7GHz isn't running for all core.
CPU-Z doesn't lie!

Do you add this mod in xposed as modules? Then click for install and you have to switch button off to on. You will need zip files. Reboot.

Yeah, that's what I find strange, no frills states that is clocked at 1.7 but cpu-z says 1.6...I've used no frills cpu for years and its always been accurate I even installed it on my phone to test how accurate it is and is right on...so either the no frills CPU app is lying or CPU-Z... The max clock speed of the ouya is 1.7 but the ouya never hits that # even if it is told to...something won't allow it to go that high, maybe is something to do with the kernel?...from the first time I got my ouya back in July 1, the first app I tried after rooting it and installing play store was cpu-z and I can recall cpu-z displaying 1.6 when in fact it was clocked higher...I mean, it will be nice to run all at 1.7 but I'm cool with 1.6, no big deal...

did and do you have Busybox installed? i believe the 720p won't work without Busybox... if you press info on your TV remote it should tell you or show you on the screen your current resolution... my bedroom TV is a 32 inch 1080p 240Hz sylvania L.C.D and i can run my OUYA on 720p from the Mod and when i check my TV resolution by pressing info on my tv remote it shows 720p or 1080p depending on what i have active on the Mod, and my livinroom TV is a 42 inch Panasonic viera 720p 600Hz Plasma and can also run my OUYA on 720p or 1080p even tho my plasmas resolution is only 720p i can still run the 1080p but i can feel the performance difference at that resolution...Also i can run GTA vice city with everything on MAX and it don't lag for me at all, i set both my minimal and max cpu freq to 1.7 and set the governor to PERFORMANCE then i go to the Tegra Overclock OUYA edition app and set GPU to 520 at 720p and it runs like a dream even at 1080p it runs real good...
ok, i did some testing on my 42 inch Plasma 720p HDTV and i can confirm that the 720p mod don't work at all.

Ok, i hate to keep at it but i really want to get to the bottom of the whole 720p mod working or not... i ran another test today, so i ran the 720p and 1080p mods using Nenamark2 and guess what? the 720p mod does work :D i took more pics with the 1080p and 720p, Nenamark2 reports a resolution of 1920x1080 on both test but as you can see on the top right corner of the picture my tv displays the resolutions. Now there's no more doubt that WonderEkin's mod does work..so CPU-Z is lying about the resolution cause i ran ADB Over Network and entered the command: "abd shell cat /sys/devices/tegradc.0/graphics/fb0/mode" and the command says resolution is 1280x720p-60, so i guess it don't matter what resolution CPU-Z says the OUYA is displaying cause is a LIE the only resolution that matters is the one your HDTV displays when you press the INFO button on you tv remote...The only reason i decided to do another test was because i was playing Need for Speed Most Wanted and this game on the OUYA looks amazing with shinny streets and all and i notice that while playing it was sluggish and slower than before, so i changed the mod resolution from 1080p to 720p and rebooted my OUYA and started need for speeed MW again and did the same race again and i notice the instant performance difference, everything was fast again :D... so i did the test and it did show that the 720p mod was working...:victory: not 1280x720p-60fps but 1280x720p-42.1fps...Oh and before anyone says that why yesterdays 1920x1080 test on the picture shows 1920x1080 at 42fps and todays pictures shows 1920x1080 at 37.2fps is because yesterday i forgot to mention that i ran those test with the 720p mod On...silly me:silly:

Module suggestion: TabletUI

@WonderEkin - I found that the TabletUI module does wonders for certain apps (NHL.com in my case), so I suggest including this option in your next release.
Thanks for all the work. :good:

I don't think i have added it to the xposed modules yet. Although i did switch the button on and i do have the zip file in the sd card folder so it installs it instead of downloading it from the site.

What version of play store are you trying to install?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
I believe i might of used the older version of playstore that has the size 10.99mb because installing through the mod collection i kept being taken to the download page which did nothing. It didnt download anything at all even after 10minutes of waiting. So I downloaded directly from xda link and put the zip file in sd card folder but then i was prompted by another error with size mismatch. Then i downloaded the playstore with the size 10.99mb and it installed but i get timed out. Any thoughts?

It's not proper 720p. If you se 720p with this mod app, your tv show 720p, but it isn't right. 42fps you cen get with full HD if you diabled overscan :) I've tested it. With overscen you cen get max about 37fps. True 720p you can get with Tegra Overclock but it isn't fullscreen if it was fullcsreen you will get same fps maybe little lower. My TV show 720p too but as you can see Nenamark 2 and CPU-Z show 1080p and they don't lie. Check nenamark 2 score for Tegra 3 (nena.se) at 720p every device has almost 60fps.

If I run CPU-Z on my MK802 at 720p CPU-Z show 720p and same if I run at 1080p. Check it with Tegra Overclock, change it to 720p a check it in CPU-Z. You will see.

The 1.7GHz clock is like Intel turboboost the max clock you can get only with one core. But if someone can edit kernel I think it's possible to overcloking.
