Where did you find the installer? I ran the apk and then the mod that was on the "make" page and I do not see another installer.I'm getting the same thing. I click open, there's a slight pause, then I'm kicked back to the home screen. No force close, "not responding" or anything. Installing the framework didn't help. Could you give an MD5 sum for the apk? The icon it's showing is the default android with a box on his chest, which often indicates a corrupt apk, but could also just indicate you didn't add your own icon.
Derp. The apk for the framework installer is just that. It installs the installer. I ran the installer, and now the mod collection works.
Download the Xposed Framework apk, and run it. It will add a launcher to your make menu. Run that launcher, and pick install. Then install the Mod Collection if you haven't already, then go back into the Xposed Framework apk again, and enable the Mod Collection. Let me know if you need step by step, but it should be clear enough.Where did you find the installer? I ran the apk and then the mod that was on the "make" page and I do not see another installer.
Thank you very much for these new versions. My play store had stopped working (couldn't install anything. the screen would just flash and nothing would happen when I hit install) and I needed to do a complete uninstall and reinstall of the play store. Your mod mad that a lot easier and the store works fine now.Update

I found the Xposed Framwork apk and installed, enabled the Mod Collection. The only thing I forgot was to reboot Ouya, after I did that everything else was a piece of cake. Why did you bother installing the Mod Collection if you want to flash a ROM? Besides that, currently, there's no safe way to flash a custom rom, though I think StockPlus is one of the better bets... But given that you've already installed the MC, you don't gain a ton. CIFS.ko is the only reason I'm even considering switching roms.I found the Xposed Framwork apk and installed, enabled the Mod Collection. Now, can you recommend any rom to flash?
I wanted CWM before I ever attempted flashing another rom. I did not realize the Mod Collection was a rom, sorry. Why did you bother installing the Mod Collection if you want to flash a ROM? Oh, haha, that kinda makes sense actually. He added CWM like an hour after I installed, so I forgot about CWM. Keep in mind though, CWM isn't going to protect you from bricking your Ouya at all.I wanted CWM before I ever attempted flashing another rom. I did not realize the Mod Collection was a rom, sorry.
Is Google Play suppose to show only free games? Also does it only show the ones it thinks is compatiable like it does with my tablet?
Thanks for the reply but the only pay games it will show are when I search for a specific game.Oh, haha, that kinda makes sense actually. He added CWM like an hour after I installed, so I forgot about CWM. Keep in mind though, CWM isn't going to protect you from bricking your Ouya at all.
And yes, it will show free and pay games, but only "Compatible" ones. Keep in mind, none of the "Compatible" apps were made with the Ouya in mind, and may still be incompatible.
At the bottom of the mod collection there should be a reboot to recovery button, use that one. It did not work for me though, it just took me to a black screen with Ouya printed on it and a "!" or "i" under it. My eye sight is bad.I am having a problem.
1: I am rooted with busybox installed. I clicked on the option to check mod collection in xposed installer to be enabled. In the mod collection app, I clicked on install CWM recovery and enabled it. It says it was installed successfully, then I rebooted. How exactly am I supposed to get to CWM to make a backup? When I click on soft reboot, it just hangs.
Since I have the Play Store installed and accessible, am I able to download the CWM recovery from there and install it somehow?
Thank you,
Whiteice
I did not see that option listed. I will try that out now.At the bottom of the mod collection there should be a reboot to recovery button, use that one. It did not work for me though, it just took me to a black screen with Ouya printed on it and a "!" or "i" under it. My eye sight is bad.
.. from this http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php...in-Recovery-Mode&p=42618&viewfull=1#post42618 .. step no.5 .. you should press home key at exclamation mark .. so keyboard is need to enter recovery mode ..At the bottom of the mod collection there should be a reboot to recovery button, use that one. have you install any superuser app?Hi, I was having a problem with a Ouya game from the Ouya store, it was stuttering and audio was also. I had read that if I set the video to 720 it would many times fix it so I went into Mod Collection and turned on the setting dealing with 720p or 1080p and set 720 and that fixed the game.. After playing the game I tried to turn that setting and it won't let. I tried turning it off and rebooting, not rebooting, and turning the tv on and off but every time I went back in to Mod Collection it was turned on. How do I turn it off so it will stay off? Thanks
Yes, It was installed when I used the "RootMyOuya" apk. As a last resort what would happen if I uninstalled Mod Collection and then re-install?have you install any superuser app?
