You know its so easy to forget there's a touchpad on the OUYA controller.
So easy in fact that I kept clicking A to activate the mods, then reboot, then wonder why the hell it didn't work.
Oops.
Gotta use that touch pad to check the box or it doesn't work.
A touchpad on the controller, it just seems so unnatural!

This doesn't open anymore after updating to the latest Ouya update. Any ideas?
  1. Root your Ouya again
  2. Open Xposed Installer, install the framework again
  3. Double check if the Mod Collection is enabled in the Xposed Installer
  4. Now you should able to open the Mod Collection

Just wanted to let you know that the Preserver worked perfectly this time. Was able to install today's update and kept root and Play Store functionality. Just had to reinstall busybox. Guess reinstalling CWM recovery did the trick.

Thank you very much for this mod collection.

Anyone else having trouble updating? My Ouya downloads the update, asks to reboot, then Ouya Framework requests root, then once it reboots, about 15 seconds in, it fails, leaving me with a screen that just says "OUYA" with a red "!" underneath it. Eventually it boots up again, then redownloads the update.

This happened to me last week. I think it was because I didn't have cwm installed.

Yeah... either add CWM or uncheck the keep root mod. Either one should let updates finish. If you uncheck keep root, you'll need to reroot it after you finish, obviously... :)

I tried to update last night but this mod prevented it again. I had cwm installed but still got to the ouya ! Screen when restarting. I had to disable the mod to update and then re root etc.

If you see the ! Screen, then you don't have cwm recovery installed

Also, make sure that your download finished properly. After trying to install the play store 4 times and having it fail each time, went to look at my Downloads (in the settings) and saw that the download had officially failed. Removed all but one of the failed downloads, retried it and waited on that screen until it finished. THEN went back into the mod-menu and ran the install for the play store... worked fine.

Just remember that on the Ouya, there's nothing to tell you when the download worked. And depending on luck, it might take several minutes to download something that takes seconds on your computer.

After several attempts to install CWM, I finally went the route of "Just reroot from scratch." No matter how many times I rebooted, enabled/disabled keep root, and clicked "Install CWM," it just didn't work. Oh well, at least rooting is easy.

If you get stuck in the same situation as me, unplug your router, which will let you avoid the update, and make the changes you need to (Either trying to install CWM or just disabling keep root), then plug your router back in.
