Hi is there any way of making this work for magisk? I don't use closed as it makes Snapchat mess up and also can't pass safety net for banking apps. Or is there even a modified gboard APK? Thanks

That's my problem too. Would be great to have this mod working with magisk.

I personally don't have the time to maintain a project like that as it'd require someone to patch 8 APKs to support all devices.

Gboard is using very much battery 30% or more If I am searching for gifs with this module. Is this normal? I didnt test it without the module

That's all Gboard. GIF searching isn't exactly battery friendly if you use it a lot.

I've released a new version of the module to support Gboard 7.0.6.188308327.

http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.imadev.nsfw

I am not sure what I can send you but gboard opens then closes after I press like one or two keys or none but pretty quickly. Does same thing I go into settings for keyboard. This only started after the march update to pixel2xl stock. The new version of module was installed without issue before the march update. Not sure if it worked or not because I did not search for any GIFS but it did not make keyboard close.

Disabling the module fixes it.

I will reenable it and send logs if you tell me what logs to send.

@smartymcfly If you're using NSFW Gboard 1.2.3 with Gboard 7.0.6.188308327 then it should work. Try clearing Gboard's cache.

As you've got a Pixel 2 XL it's probably using Oreo 8.1, right? I guess this could also be a problem as it uses a lite apk that might need to be patched differently.

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/gboard/gboard-7-0-6-188308327-release/

it still closes.

the app v1.2.3 did work prior to the phone pixel 2/xl being updated to march stock image.

i cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled, deactivated module and reactivated module.

I was able to get gboard working by using the art deoptimiser module and selecting "nsfw gboard".

I uninstalled native clipboard first, and tried it but gboard was still closing after showing for just a second. Not force closing, but hiding from the screen.

I tried the deoptimisation and it works.

Another update.

The problem is not on your end.

The problem is that Google has made a lite version of Gboard and that version is mixed in with the standard version on apkmirror.

I went back through every combination of 1.2.2, 1.2.3 and the two versions of Gboard that are listed for those updates. Gboard lite will either only open for a moment when NSFW Gboard is optimised, or if not optimised Gboard will work but emojis and gifs do not work, the button doesn't do anything.

These are the package names.

I did not look at the title when I downloaded it from app mirror. I was looking at armxx, minapixx, dpi, and 7.0.6.188.

Google allows Gboard Go to be installed on top of original Gboard.

Works perfectly! But uhm.. Anyone knows how to remove the last searches from the search menu?
Kinda awkward if someone's using your phone, gonna send a GIF, and when they press the search bar, all previous searches are listed, and they are - at the moment - indeed nsfw

    About:
Google's Gboard won't let you search for NSFW GIFs, but this Xposed module changes that.

    Requirements:
    - Xposed Framework
    - Gboard

    NSFW Gboard v1.4.2

This release supports Gboard 9.3.8.306379758 and newer.

    http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.imadev.nsfw

I had to rewrite the module to support the newer versions of Gboard. It wasn't easy due to all of the changes that the Gboard devs made, but hopefully it'll remain working for a while.

If the module stops working again due to major changes then I might not bother to fix it as it's getting a little tedious now. It also doesn't help that Xposed's popularity has declined in recent years and donations are scarce.

I am not sure. I stop use this module, because xposed brokes GPay.
Use EdXposed Manager v4.5.7, EdXposed YAHFA v0.5.0.0 or v0.4.6.3 and Riru Core v21.2. Then just go into EdXposed's settings, enable app list mode and toggle the option to pass SafetyNet. Reboot, give it a minute and then check your SafetyNet status. It should pass :)

Avoid using v0.5.0.0 of the SandHook framework as that'll log some FileNotFoundException errors. They can safely be ignored, although I recommend using YAHFA instead.

I don't get the sense of this module..
Can you give me like an example how to use it?

Think of it like Google images with safe search turned off. The search results are uncensored, so you get access to things like adult themed GIFs.

I believe GIF search currently works with Google Messenger, Hangouts and Allo. I'm sure that there will be more apps to support it shortly too.

I'm currently waiting for a new phone to be delivered. Once it's rooted and I have everything setup I'll try to fix the issue :)

I'll see if I can update the module to support newer versions. Hopefully it's a simple fix and Google hasn't completely changed everything.
