Hi,

I've read through all the pages of this thread but I didn't find anyone else facing the same issue as me:
The image which is taken by the camera is offset from the one I see in the viewfinder. Please see attached images (sorry can't post links yet). I did not move the phone.

I'm using MIUI 9.5.6.0 Global Stable and Arnova8G2-V7beta-test-9.apk

Is there a solution for this problem? Many thanks in advance.

We're all talking about excellent modded GCam photo quality. But what about video recording quality?
I tried several modded GCam apps and stock camera too. As the result I get much worse video quality than with my old Nexus 5. I see some kind of blinking white areola around all objects and blinking stripped areas.
Is there any magic trick I don't know about to make video recording quality at least acceptable?

Hello everybody. I want to share my experience on Mi Mix 2 with Gcam.
First of all i suggest to instal the latest global stable rom as it looks has better ram managment and battery life. unlock bootloader flash official twrp and instal magisk.
In magisk you will find a module called Pixel experience it adds the nececery files in build.prop to make the gcam run with no problems. You can choose if you want pixel launcher too.
After installing the module reboot. Sometimes after reboot wifi doesnt work so reboot again maybe wipe cache/dalvik helps.
Instal this version of gcam
Gcam <---press
Rember any time you make a chenge in settings of Gcam you must terminate tge app to take effect.
Screenshots from my gcam settings( some are in Greek language)
Notice higher hdr+ parameters means more time to take the image so if it is a dark place to take photo will take more time to take the photo. (Sry for my english)
Edit: Dont enable 4k in front picture it doesnt work.
Also dont enable the night mode that removes the reddish bla bla bla... it doesnt work.
60fps doesnt work. You can record a video but 1st is dark and 2nd is still in 30fps.

If you want the moving picture you must enable the motion option but it doesnt work the HDR+ you will notice that. To see the motion picture(moving) you need the google photos app to see it moving. Doesnt work with stock album.
Any mode that doesnt totally works with Gcam you can do it with stock cam example the slow motion.
Any question ask me...

Well that’s a shame!! We have to be able to use GCam even with locked bootloader and no root, it’s just an application.. :(
Well is not GCam or devs of Gcam fault. Xiaomi havent enabled the camera 2 api by default so the Gcam cant work. And to do that you need access in build.prop. That means you must be rooted. That means you need to have twrp recovery to flash the root and that means you need to be unlocked to flash twrp recovery. So i blame xiaomi.
