Modded Google Cam on Mix 2

Hey guys, do you know any gcam version work with locked and no-root Mix 2 running stock MIUI 11. Currently, I installed old 2.5 version of Gcam and it worked fine. I already tried serveral 5.1, 6, 7 version mods but no luck.

does anyone know how to fix the landscape mode in the front camera, because our camera is on the bottom is ok if I turn it upside down but in landscape it keeps rotating to the wrong place (shutter button on the same side as the camera)

Any suggestions? Im just wondering if its possible to have it working like the default miui camera that lets you have the shutter button on the opposite side of the camera sensor

Without camera2api enabled it can work but without any improvement than stock. It's a no-sense.

How to flash magisk manager in?

Now my mix 2 stock miui11, I have unlocked bootloader and use adb to add setprop persist.camera.HAL3 to 1 and persist.vendor.camera.HAL3 to 1.
But nothing change when I check the manual camera app, it still all red.

Hello, what is the longest time you had in the Astrophotography mod on MIX 2? I could achieve only 15sec. (the longer exposure the better)

The one that works the best for me with Mix 2 Pie and Xiaomi.eu rom is:

Slo-mo doesn't work for me either, but you could try this version from Urnyx05 if you have Android 9:

He tests with several phones, one of them being a Mix 2.
Don't bother trying any versions above 6.3 as they are focused on Android 10.

Hi I have tested dozens of gcam version too.
There are some that I like but most have some combination of things doesn't work for me, either:
1. Portrait mode (no image at all)
2. Front camera (Most can show, doesn't capture. Some can capture, but give blurry image)
3. Auto Focus
4. Touch to Focus
5. Auto White Balance

I'm on official Los16, with Magisk installed but no related modules installed as I know camera2api is enabled by default.

Currently the closest one for me is the MGC_MIX2S_VENOM_Q.apk from Alexey070315.
Everything works except Front camera not capturing.

Am I missing something important? Please shine a light.

p.s. Also, anybody has a FingerPrint Shutter Magisk module that works on Chiron?

Thanks this worked great... everything working now..

Also , i noticed that the original camera app video has stopped working..after i enabled hal3..but the short video works...not that i will use it of thia cam is stable for me...just checking if anyone else facing same issue

I'm using v11.0.6.0 offical ROM. I coludn't flash the camera2 API enabler.

in TWRP flash finish succesfully but Gcam crash.

To enable camera2 api you can simply edit the build.prop and add :
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
then restart.

I've found on the Alexey070315 telegram channel a fully working version for me. I'm on Xiaomi.eu lastest rom (11.0.5)
