My S4 Mini is registered as model number GT-I9195DKYATO in my Samsung account. I think it's actually a GT-I9195ZKABTU. Can anyone give me more details on the meaning/specs of the GT-I9195DKYATO model number please?

thanks for your reply :)
The device is currently bricked so it's not possible to get any info directly from it.
In addition, there is no sticker on the motherboard so I can't get the serial number or IMEI.

I thought I might find some info in my Samsung or Google accounts relating to the device but all I could find was this model number.
It seems unusual because it was purchased in the UK from the O2 shop. Maybe that model number has to do with a firmware I installed, which might have been the cause of the brick. I'm trying to work backwards to solve the problem.

I see your problem. You mean there is no sticker under the battery, or do you really have the back off & the motherboard out? Either way the part number, if that's what it really is, is unknown to me, but there do seem to be some websites selling those phones, but I can't tell which country.

I thought maybe it's part of the firmware or csc number but that didn't show anything either
this blog used to have some good info, but now it's hosted by different company & the links to csc table is not working on that page for me
http://ykkfive.blogspot.com/2012/02/samsung-firmware-version-number.html?m=1
also nothing on sammobile
so I'm at a loss as to what those code numbers mean.

If you do take the inner cover off look at the actual motherboard should have something on it that will give you at least a clue.

If there really is no sticker under the battery, that makes me suspect it may have been modified, repaired or maybe even a fake, compare the motherboard with the photos on ifixit.com or similar. But best to take it back to shop O2 shop & get them to explain why no sticker etc before you take it apart as I can't believe it left the factory without one.

Thanks again for the info. I had a good look through those pages but there's no reference to that code. It might not be important though.
I managed to get the IMEI from O2 but not the serial. Kies won't recognise it right now anyway. I have had the motherboard out to see if there's any more info on there but there's nothing.

The motherboard was replaced by an unofficial repair shop a long while back and it worked perfectly until I rooted it with CF-Autoroot. So it had no sticker since that repair but it does seem genuine. But I know it had stock rom 4.4.2 KitKat, rooted with CF-Autoroot. It worked for a short time but stopped working soon after installing that. Recently I tried the debrick.img on SDcard method and it starts to flash but perhaps the emmc is dead. I get the following response:

Code:
[COLOR="Lime"]BOOT RECOVERY MODE[/COLOR]
CHECK BOOT PARTITIONS. .
COPY FROM T-FLASH. .
BOOT RECOVERY. .
WRITE 139008 sectors. .
[COLOR="Red"]FLASH WRITE FAILURE[/COLOR]
ddi : mmc_read failed
[COLOR="red"]ODIN MODE[/COLOR]
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9195
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0X30
[COLOR="Silver"]BOOTLOADER AP SWREV: 2
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable[/COLOR]
Flashing with Odin tells me there is no pit partition. I have access to an identical phone so I might try to make a new debrick.img from that. I wonder if I should root it with CF-Autoroot to make the debrick as close as possible to the dead phone, or if that matters. Most threads on this topic seem to end with the conclusion that the emmc is dead but I did extract a pit file from it with Heimdall so I think it must still be alive somehow. Not giving up yet :)

OK I see.

a new debrick image won't be different, from a phone that has been autorooted etc as the debrick is just the initial boot that always stays the same, as far as I know.

Not sure how Heimdall works but that error message normally means emmc has failed, according to other posts. But give flashing a go by all means.
