I'm from spain.
I was on xxlrb... And now with xxlrk the signal is a lot better. The speed is better too, but the most important, with lrk i'm not losing packets anymore!

Everything is connecting fine and more quickly.

Best modem at this time.

Anyone here in Brazil tested XXLRK?

Until now my best results were obtained using XXLB2, XXLR1 and UBLP4 (that is from the Brazilian official ICS 4.0.3 ROM).

===============
Edit:

Oh! And did you guys ever noticed that after changing modem some data get lost inside "Data Usage" statuses? The graphic data looses some information. Every app consumption looses some megabytes.

I'm using Galaxy Note and AOKP 40.1 ROM.

Running LRK myself now in Brazil (was on LP4 before), can't say I saw any improvements but it's not worse either.

Thanks for the report!

Which one you were using before LP4? LR1? LB2?

And, by the way, this LP4 you were using was the one I uploaded or it was due to the fact you are running oficial Samsung ICS ROM from Brazil?

=====
Edit:

Oh! When you say LP4, you mean UBLP4, right? ("UBLP4" is the Brazilian one!)

yep, the Brazilian one, that i believe you uploaded :)
TIM is such a PITA company, i have spotty H coverage, and it all the times falls back to E here in Londrina. No matter which modem i try it's all the same. Some are of course better than others but just slightly.
I really like to leave TIM but this line is from my work, so A. it's free and B. i can't not use it.

As a Claro client, I know very well about poor quality signal service. Just relax! hahaha But at least here in Rio and Niterói I can obtain almost all the time H coverage.

One pretty interesting thing I noticed in Brazilian forums is that in some regions (maybe in south, mainly) LB2 modem works better than others! For example, here in Rio LB2 works great also, but I think LR1 is better! Don't know if it's due to the fact it's a new modem and projected for ICS (although everybody states that Gingerbread and ICS modem can be changed using both kind of ROMs without no issues).

So, on this way, I think this new one probably will be better than LR1. Even because it's a "XX" one. I also noticed that here in Brazil "XX" (USA/Europe) modems work so nice also. When I tested India or Thailand ones, for example, I got really bad results.

Later I will test and tomorrow I'll post my results using LRK!

Before trying this one, please, take a look at your "Data Usage" panel and just check how much data you have downloaded using mobile data. After changing modem, take a look again there and could you please say if you lost some information there? I noticed that this graphic is altered and we loose some info there after changing modem, but don't know if it's only when using AOKP.

About forums, the only one I check regularly is the one from the "official" Galaxy Note community in Orkut. But I think AndroidZ and Brasil Droid forums are also great and much more organized, by the way!

And I just read your Galaxy Note review. Its perfectly fabulous! Specially due to the fact it's from someone who became from "Apple World". Absolutely great, honest and useful!

Please, just skip these tests! I just realized that my info here about total consumption are already bugged even before changing modem.

I simply don't understand how the total amount of data displayed can be lower than the total displayed by apps in the same screen. For example, total downloaded data displays 150 megabytes, but just below YouTube and Maps report each one about 200 megabytes.

I think Google didn't do a completely good job on this function. And now I know it has nothing to do with modem changes.

Anyway, thanks. I'll flash right now this new modem and tonight I report my results!

Guys,

What I must do to creat a ZIP file to install a modem using CWM? I need copy all files structure from any modem ZIP file and change only "modem.bin" to the one I want to creat or this will not work?
