Flashed DDLP4 modem

I used PC-Odin and flashed the 'modem.bin' file by selecting it in the 'Phone' tab of PC-Odin and connecting GT-N7000 in Download mode.
Took all of 10 seconds.

Works great now...I am in India and on Vodafone network....for some reason on the XXLRB modem with CM9 nightly I always had huge battery drain while using wi-fi and also phone used to heat a little.

I had the best battery life when I was on Stock Samsung ICS 4.0.3 DDLP8 ROM and this ROM uses the LP4 modem (Baseband: N7000DDLP4)....hence I flashed to the 'LP4' modem today morning and am observing the battery usage now.
Looks good as of now with the phone not heating and battery drain also appears normal.

Let's see how it goes over the next few days.

btw...I am loving the CM9 build...it's sooo good! No bloatware and everything is fully functional. I am gonna be on CM9 for a long time I think...

PS: I do not need the 'FM radio'.

I wonder DDLR1 works in Malaysia?
From what I know...any modem will work in any region...but it's just that modems (radios) are customized for various regions and hence we have different versions, DD for India, XX for others, etc.

I am in India and was using XXLRB modem (radio) and found phone getting hot. I have switched back to the modem for India.

So in conclusion...you can safely flash any modem to your Note and always revert back if needed. Just find and download your existing modem first and keep just to be safe so that you can revert back your Note to last working condition if absolutely needed.

Use the 'Phone' tab in PC-odin to select the 'modem.bin' file of your choice, then put your phone in Download mode and flash.

DDLR1 (latest Indian modem) works fine in Romania, and also United Kingdom (because Gavin, creator of CleaNote is from there, and since he included it in his ROM...).

Can't say there's a difference between XXLRK and DDLR1. I personally see none... if there is any, it's probably very small :) .

Phone Radio Problem

As this is a dedicated thread for Phone Radio, i am posting this here..

Did anybody reported your phone being switched off even though you had kept your phone ON that time.
I am facing this issue especially early mornings after when phone is not in use (take 4-5 hrs)
I can see full signal bars, but when tried my number from other, gets phone switched off message
I need to dial a number or send a message out from my phone, (basically like drawing network’s attention to) then i'm back on network

I have experienced this when using XXLPT, XXLRK and DDLR1 modems
I am in India, so using DDLR1 modem atm..but still issue exist when i am in ported ROMs like - LiquidBlack, AOCP, HI AOKP (I always do clean istall after all wipes, and use no powersaving modes)
This doesnt happen in GingerBread or any ICS ROMs, can anybody help

So what ROMs doesn't it work on then? JellyBean ones (which are not fully functional, by the way)?!

If this didn't happen on GB or ICS... Try CleaNote V5 (latest so far). It's based on DDLR6, with radio DDLR1... should work flawlessly there in India :) .

Hi,

Does the radio influence bluetooth? I upgraded from stock GB to stock 4.0.4 (XXLQ2) with XXLRK radio about 3 weeks ago and just noticed that bluetooth won't turn on. I only use BT very occasionally so I can't say when the problem started. Is it worth trying a different radio? Thanks.
