Flashed DDLP4 modem
I used PC-Odin and flashed the 'modem.bin' file by selecting it in the 'Phone' tab of PC-Odin and connecting GT-N7000 in Download mode.
Took all of 10 seconds.
Works great now...I am in India and on Vodafone network....for some reason on the XXLRB modem with CM9 nightly I always had huge battery drain while using wi-fi and also phone used to heat a little.
I had the best battery life when I was on Stock Samsung ICS 4.0.3 DDLP8 ROM and this ROM uses the LP4 modem (Baseband: N7000DDLP4)....hence I flashed to the 'LP4' modem today morning and am observing the battery usage now.
Looks good as of now with the phone not heating and battery drain also appears normal.
Let's see how it goes over the next few days.
btw...I am loving the CM9 build...it's sooo good! No bloatware and everything is fully functional. I am gonna be on CM9 for a long time I think...
PS: I do not need the 'FM radio'.
