Establishing Battlefield Control... Standby!
Hi,

Does the radio influence bluetooth? I upgraded from stock GB to stock 4.0.4 (XXLQ2) with XXLRK radio about 3 weeks ago and just noticed that bluetooth won't turn on. I only use BT very occasionally so I can't say when the problem started. Is it worth trying a different radio? Thanks.
Nope, modem's have no relation to bluetooth.

I just thought ..... My phone is on LRK which made using DoomLord impossible. If I change the baseband to an older one I should be able to use it, should I not?!
I rooted by dumping busybox into my SD and cwm into the xt SD to flash it. This is not ideal, but works.
YES IT DID IT!!!!! Got proper recovery now. Still put this on for anyone in this position, as I know there are

Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

Anyone know why the gingerbread modem is the most popular? Is this the best functioning? Been having trouble holding a connection with xxLRK (in the US on Straight Talk AT&T). Thanks!

Oh, okay. I flashed XXLB2 (I'm on a Jellycore) and it seems to have solved my random disconnects issue (although I've been using it for less than 24 hours, so time will tell). Any reason I would want XXLR1 over XXLB2? Is there some difference between how the radios connect, or does it have to do with which towers the phone can connect to? Thanks in advanced, really appreciate your help with this :)

LB2 or LPT seems to be the best for cm10 based ROMs.
LB2 is ok and uses less battery. LPT seems faster and more reliable, but consumes more battery.

Modem naming rules:
"XXKJ4"

XX - Modem intended country/region.
XX - General USA/Europe.
ZC - China.
UB - Brazil.
DD - India.
DX - Thailand.
You can check for more country codes here: Link

KJ4 - General modem version in 3 letters/numbers. Named generally from AA1 to ZZZ, though alot of numbers and letters got skipped.
Hi, Altho I'm a serial ROM and kernal flasher I've never dealt with modems before. So please validate my below mentioned understanding and correct me if i'm going wrong:

I'm from India. And according to OP, the modem intended for India are the ones prefixed with DD. Does that mean that out of the modems listed in OP, I can only use DDLA2 and DDLP4?
Well, to be honest, after reading almost the whole thread, I pretty well fathom that I can use other region modems as well :cowboy: but wondering if there are side-effects to that.

The reason for concern is that sometime ago, my CSC had gotten changed from INU to something else and as a result, i could not buy apps from play store... I wish for someone to explain this to me in more than just couple of words so that it will help gain better knowledge :)
I'm currently on tegraowners ICS ROM with thor v18 kernel.
