Here comes the XXLS1 modem from the stock Jelly Bean firmware that was leaked about half an hour ago. The modem can be flashed via CWM and it's working fine with ICS 4.0.4.

By the way, we have to wait for some rom developer to make an installable package from the leaked firmware files. So stay tuned and stay calm. ;)

Credits for the leak go to eybee1970, see the JB thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737939
Now we know we *are* getting the update :)

There's still chance this modem is *not* the final one, so... I'm good with LRK until the OTA drops in :p

Not sure if it is ROM-related or the modem, but my battery seems to be sucking down a little more than usual. I tried to keep power consumption low: picky about apps, conservative governor on a solid kernel, and I was surprised while sitting there going down percentage points, and I happened to be casually browsing Reddit and XDA while waiting. So, I will test further and report back I guess.

Had same problem in PA with new modem... fast dormancy (secril-fd) whether enabled or disabled was creating a huge wake lock. Flashed back to lrk will see if it helps

At first sight, wifi appears improved.. But 3G didn't notice difference..

Dude. For many on PA (which I have been using for months) this new LEAKED modem doesn't play well. It is not the ROM or kernel. It is called trial and error...

I never dismissed the idea that it could be the modem's fault.

Installed LS1 on CM10 didn't noticed any enhancement comparing to my old LPT except my battery draining a lot faster.

LS1 has given me noticeable improvements in 3G speeds, faster WiFi on/off toggling, text messages seem to be sent out instantly versus a couple second delay, and I have not had one dropped call using it. Big improvement over LB2. On PA
