Yes. Flashing through CWM or Mobile Odin is dangerous.

But i think you can flash through PC Odin.

Yes you can flash through ODIN PC I just loaded the modem.bin file into the PHONE section and put the note into download mode and clicked start.

Worked fine.....

I have put my original modem (XXLA4) back on that I had for Gingerbread and it does seem better but still not as good as when I was actually on Gingerbread before flashing to ICS.

Some people prefer XXLB2, some ZCLP6, some XXLPT...

Might try one of the others mentioned above and see which works best.

Tried the new modem, end up getting 2g/edge data, H+ been disabled? I am in CA, USA by the way, any suggestion.

I'm in Italy. Installed it with Cyanogenmode 9 nightly and I get H and 3G with no problem.

How did you go about installing it with CM9? We're safe from the whole CWM flashing brick fiasco so flashing the .zip in CWM should work right?

I don't think the modem flashing can give you a brick I'll be flashing via cwm too when home and I'm on cm9

As long as you use safe kernel (official CM9 one, not the leaked Sammy versions) it is ok.

Thanks. I'm in the Philippines and I flashed using CWM. So far the only noticeable change is the improved call quality. I still got H+. I am using XXLPY kernel.

I used Mobile Odine Lite. Is safe and works.
I flashed the modem.bin file, not the zip
You can also use PC Odin, but I prefer Mobile.
