Establishing Battlefield Control... Standby!
Wow... then they suck badly.

Now... Any proper answer? I'm dying to find out what changes they bring with every version, so I can know what the hell is going on, lol.
Well, they never release changelogs on modems.

Anywhere, not on any device. So there is no reason to be so surprised. ;)

Just try it, if it works better than what you already had then good. If not, revert to your previous modem.

Simples. :p

Thanks spacetaxi.
XXLSC rocks on my Note 7000. Best radio sofar. .:good:
Trying that here on my step-dads Note as well, so far better than the Gingerbread radio he had before.

XXLSA perfect with 4.21

Noticed that on 4.21 Roms XXLSA gets better reception than XXLSC (which is better on 4.12 ROM)
And a ? noobie question:

What is the difference between a radio file (XXLSA, XXLSC etc..) and a modem file (UBKL2).

TIA

None. Modem / radio, on our phone, controlls the way GSM works. 2G and 3G, that is.

XXLSA, XXLSC = modems for Europe. UBKL2 = modem for Brazil, as it has been extracted from that specific firmware.

thanks for the help but I already the modem from a later release DDLR9 and u gave me the link for ddlr6

I want the modem from DDLRB which happens to have the latest modem available for. India DDLR4

pls could someone give me that
Sorry, it seems you didn't fully understand me. ;) The modem from DDLRB is absolutely identical to the modem from DDLR6. In fact it is the same file: modem DDLR1. I even downloaded the DDLRB rom just to check that it has the same modem. So if you want the modem from DDLRB please get the DDLR1 modem from my older post.

I backed up the stock rom + modem file before flashing a custom rom and was on the custom rom for several days but after restoring stock rom and modem now I got an extension in front of my modem so that Samsung Kies doesn't know my device.

Is there any solution to not flashing a stock rom again.

Your modem and - I guess - your stock Rom is an "Open Italy" one. And from your location info you stay in China. So that should be the reason for the Kies behaviour.

Yeah! Actually I flashed the angry revenge devteam Rom which is an Italian Rom but I didn't flashed the modem on Aroma and left it as my stock modem which was LPN. But after restoring my stock Rom and modem I got [ITV ] extension.

no mate if I m not wrong the newest baseband or modem that I was aware of was ddlr3 and not ddlr3 as u said

I already have the latter

but since ddlr9 ROM says ddlr3 modem then maybe the ddlrb which is a newer release than ddlr9 might have a newer modem as well

if not someone pls post a ddlr3 modem

regards

i think you are talking about CSC
DDLR9 has CSC = DDLR3
DDLRB has CSC = DDLR4
Modem is DDLR1 on both.. atleast for me
