Nothing is running on the actual CPU. It's not like you install a driver on it. The only thing accessible on the CPU is the cache... which is written to / read from only at the CPU's request (pretty much always). Correct me if I'm wrong...

I don't know. I think pretty much like the kernel, which connects the software to the processor and every hardware piece of the phone... The modem runs somewhere on the flash memory where it can control the radio chip.But does the modem firmware run on the quad-core cpu, or on the radio chip?![]()
