Re: [Modem] All Radio's at 'One' Place (Latest: XXLSO)

God afternoon,

Do the different radios act on the Bluetooth connection please? In other words, I have a Bluetooth headset which does not want to connect properly to my phone. Should I try modems one after an other or not please?

Thanks.

Modem = responsible for 2G / 3G connectivity.
Kernel = responsible for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Android 4.1.2 has been officially released, according to SamMobile.

Modem : XXLSO. So it seems this is the latest. And probably the last the Note is going to ever see :) .

Yup, there are three entirely separate chipsets:

- cell radio
- Wifi/Bluetooth
- GPS

The "modem" firmware we discuss in this thread is solely for the cell radio.
? big news for me. I have been told in the cm10.1 thread: "you have gpx fix issue, try another modem !"

and the first days, it was better with another one, but in fact it was a lucky stricke. it is not better, still need to reboot sometimes. so I can stop trying other modems and try other kernel sfor my gps issue?

Sorry for maybe stupid question but is there any method to test which radio is better for my N7000/my geographic zone?

I tried a few radios but I cannot understand which is the best: some provide good voice quality, some better signal, some better data speed, some better in 2G, some better in 3G but no one is good in all.

Is therw any app or method to benchmark radio?

thanks

Speedtest.net app for android. See which modem gives you the most mbps through mobile data to determine which modem suits your need.
