I read that using ktoonez kernel fixes the issue. Plan on trying tonight.
Positive. Havent done any OTA since I bought it first day out on claropr! If you have other is cause you made the OTA.

So, if I'm an AT&T user, and Odin-ed the MDL, then flashed Nottach's Mint ROM (which is based on MDL), can I flash the AT&T MDB file and have everything still work? Since going MDL, my reception has been crappy, compared to when i was on MDB. Thanks for enduring such a noob question! Awesome work and thanks to the dev of this--and our entire community! Y'all are amazing, truly!

1337MUMUAMDE was the modem before the OTA in the canadian variant of Claro

I think this is the case. I enabled AWS and verified with a TMO sim that I was getting 4G (no LTE in my area) while running SHOstock. Then I flashed a TMO rom (Infamous S4) and could only get Edge. I restored my ATT rom (SHOstock) and still only had EDGE reception with the TMO sim but could get LTE with my ATT sim.
But if that's the case, why couldn't someone make a modem file that had the AWS modification already built in? If its just a matter of stripping out the modem files from the AWS enabled ATT phone it sounds way over my head but certainly a easy move for many on these forums. And there would appear to be no disadvantage to having the band open.
