Thank you A140 for the hint! But I couldn't see from the description whether the ROM also updates the modem. Does it?
I have big problems using mobile internet with T-Mobile (DTM): 2G and 3G heat up the phone, LTE doesn't even work. It's not the case with a Vodafone Sim card. Therefore, my point is to update the modem, not the ROM.

No that Rom don't update the modem
But in your case you cannot access odin due to USB port not working and you want to update the modem.....
Try this flashfire app

Download modem file (according to your device model) then open the app and flash modem.tar file
Note:It needs SuperSu root by chainfire otherwise it will not work (Not with magisk or other root)

Thanks again! I tried but it didn't work. After flashing the "modem only" package and rebooting the baseband-version is still the same as before and network problems persist. I'm going to upgrade to LOS 15.1 (from 14.1). May this will solve the problem.

In Odin we have to flash 2...3 times, maybe same with flashfire (don't know the app).

Edit: Did you try a different USB cable? The one from the charger may not work...

I tried to queue flashing modem 3 times in a row (flashfire allows it) but also without success. After the upgrade to 15.1 it looks much better now.
USB port is not working since 2 years =)) Tried all my cables - definitely a hardware problem. Thank you very much for the link - never though it can be so cheap. Ordered it immediately!

I was able to flash it using heimdall. Worked pretty flawlessly. Shut down, took out the battery, wated for 10 secs, put the battery back in then booted into download mode. From there flash worked like a charm.

I think there are a few that are newer by 1 or two months but they're still all from 2017. I think Samsung just stopped updating the device firmware at that point.

There are a few you can find om some russian sites, but I haven't been able to verify them against reliable Samsung sources, which is why I haven't included them.

Hi, new to this thread.
I tried to flash a modem the other day but got many errors. It turns out, the USB cable was connected to a USB 3 port. As soon as I changed to a USB 2 port almost everything worked. I still got some errors, but after doing the double restart to download mode, I finally flashed the modem I was trying to.
BTW, it was the I9195XXUCQL2, but after the successful flash I'm still getting lost calls and have to restart my phone once a day or so.
Just wanted to post a heads-up for the USB ports.
Big thanks to everyone ripping the modem files out as a single file to download!

Wifi not turning on

Thank you for this post and modems collection.
I would like to share my experience with the baseband update. I have an i9195 LTE, unlocked from O2 Germany and it had baseband XXSCQA6 from 2016. All I did was to install the latest TWRP and the Latest Modem: I9195XXUCQL2 (60Mb) from this post (twice). The outcome was that the Wifi did not turn on anymore. I pressed the Wifi icon and nothing happened.
To solve it, I flashed a 900Mb complete stock ROM that included this newer baseband "GT-I9195_1_20180210104314-DTM-Germany". All is fine again, and with the latest baseband I will try some custom ROMs.
