Best comment ever..

But back on track.. the signal seems to be worse..

And why not? They DO have the new and improved (or what I like to call "How they should have made it in the first place..") Vibrant on the way. We will have to wait patiently while they scramble to put 2.2 on it. (Which is already almost outdated and the phone isnt even out yet. Why not Gingerbread? God I hate Samsung in every way)

I second that. While I do get 3g at work, it's usually only around 600kbps down. After flashing this modem, I got about half that (up was the same). I will see what I get at home, which is normally around 3-5Mbps, but I'll probably go back to a JLx modem.

I added to the OP that the signal is POOR :/

hmmm....seems like everyone else is having a better experience with this modem then JL5 so far.

Here are my test results after running the speedtest.net 10 times in the same spot on each modem.

JL5: Download/Upload (all numbers in kbps)
    775/1231
    495/964
    1387/1165
    986/1101
    1764/789
    1224/1241
    1223/1262
    717/1120
    916/1154
    1215/1337

    JL5 Average: 1070/1136

    KA5:
    1436/1292
    1407/1264
    1268/1297
    1353/1312
    1605/1167
    1427/984
    1448/1300
    576/1267
    1761/1210
    1461/1170

    KA5 Average 1374/1226

As you can see, speeds to seem to be improved over JL5, which is a good sign.

In regards signal strength, I cannot say anything about any changes, because I find that the network signal bars aren't that reliable an indicator.

Please add this modem to future builds because it is very solid.

It's not like a placebo, but on a full charged battery, I'm zipping though web pages from the genie widget and the images from the email are very fast...

Would like to add that Navigation loaded up inside my computer room which in the past could only receive a signal for this app outside.

Please add this modem to future builds because it is very solid.
