Hi everyone, I have a very specific question. And yes I've searched and read through this thread, so I apologize in advance if I missed something.

I rooted / unlocked my girlfriend's sgh-i777 so she can use it with t mobile. She's running task's newest aokp, and lives in atlanta ga.

After flashing the newest aokp, she's had some reception issues where she has absolutely no service til she reboots her phone. Is this something easily solved by flashing a new modem, and if so, does anyone live in the area that could recommend one of these modems to use?

I've soft bricked her phone a few times, and she doesn't appreciate it much, lol, so i would like to get this right on the first try rather than go for the trial and error route.

Any help is much appreciated!

Try it again. Both the AOSP and Samsung based just worked when I tested them. Sometimes dev-host doesn't cooperate usually do to maintenance on their site. But the links don't die out over time like they do with the dropbox links that I had to redo all the time.

Just posting a quick update. The new UCMD8 modem is working great for a tmobile customer in Atlanta running aokp. Thanks again SteveMurphy and Rockratt.

Is there any real difference between Sammy vs AOSP version ? I am on SS UCMD8 but running Task650 and Slimbean , and see no problem at all.

No difference as far as the ACTUAL modem file. The only difference is in the installer. I don't think the installer matters any more either from what I have seen from users like yourself. In the beginning the Sammy ones would NOT flash on cm10 so I made different installers for it. I only started outting the Sammy ones in here as a repository for all users. I don't have access to the SGS2 any longer but I will support adding the modems whenever you all get updates.
