Modifying stock 2.3.5 kernel

I am trying to see if it is possible to hex edit the stock 2.3.5 kernel for 1.5 ghz. I I have split boot image into the kernel and ramdisk, and but I am not sure how to split the kernel so I can get gzip part so I extract it. Any know what the addresses are?

Make a stock kernel that just enables frequency of cpu and enable camera flash to work at below 30%

Can the kernel and ramdisk be reverse engineered to give the original source code??

nope, u need the original source

Would be great to have the stock kernel (that runs with the least flaws) patched to enable "real" 2-way call recording.
