Modifying Voodoo Lag Fix for Rogers 896

Hi,

I wanted to know would it be possible to just change the 897 voodoo lag fix to work with the rogers 896 by changing the model number in the update script inside the update.zip? So far ive changed the model numbers but just wanted to check with the pros here if im about to brick my device by doing this.

If yes, has anybody done this? And if No are their other files which need to be changed?

the only thing you can do - is to test, just check 3button mode

Just tried this from my stock i896 and it bricked. Got stuck on the step 2 part of the install on the at&t boot screen. Decided afterwards to try cognition and it is great since trying the voodoo lag fix also installed the at&t boot screen which I was trying to avoid since there is no fixed for it yet.
