so you are saying that there is no need to install the whole rom just only that de-odexed file
if yes then where is located that de-odexed file?because i do not know:eek:
actually when you are saying install do you mean i place it in the appropiate folder and reboot the device?

edit: wait! i realized something else!by de-odexed file do you mean the rom?
if yes then if i install it and restore the nandroid backup will it remain de-odexed?
Yes, you will need to flash the whole de-odexed rom again.
But you cannot restore a nandroid backup because that will overwrite the entire system, and back to an odexed rom.

Basically, after flashing the de-odexed rom, you will need to install & configure everything again.
But if you have Titanium Backup, it can helps you to backup/restore "user" apps (and their settings). In that case, you will still need to configure everything related to system apps, such as all your accounts, home screens, lock screen, etc.

After you have a de-odexed rom running, you may install any Mod designed for Sensation (provided that the version is supported by the Mod).
And there is no difference, in terms of user experience, between odexed and de-odexed rom.

Plz add the SONY XLOUD in ur MOD.... it has very loud volume...
Everything in this mod is related to a single file "SystemUI.apk" only. The Sony XLoud engine is related to other files that I'm not familiar with.

Besides, this mod is created for Sensation users who don't want to use a huge tweak package (some all-in-one tweaks may include lots of features that users don't need). With more features combined into a single mod, it will only consume more resources. That's why I compiled multiple zip files for users to choose exactly what they want.

Vibrate mode

Any chance you could add vibrate mode to the EQS? I've been trying to do it myself but I do not have enough smali skills :(

I forgot what happened, but I did try to add vibration mode and failed.

Does using the Volume +/- work for you ?
When Volume - is pressed (once at a time, don't hold), it will eventually reach level 0 (partially silent). If Volume - is pressed one more time, it will be changed to vibration mode. So, simply press and hold the Volume - key will go to vibration mode.

I am having a bit of trouble with trying to install this mod on ARHD 6.8.0. After the install when I reboot, I get a black wallpaper and the pull down bar where the clock and the status icons should be is gone. I never had trouble with this mod on previous versions so does anybody know what's going on?

I tried a clean 6.8 install and applied only this mod but still the same effect.

Sorry for late reply.

Which file did you try to install ? What other mod you have also installed ?

If it is possible, try to install a clean ARHD again. Reboot and wait for everything is done (and you should see the notification/status bar). Then, download the suitable zip file again (just in case of bad download), and install it. Don't install anything else and reboot again. See if you have the updated status bar or not.

P.S. Always try to install one mod at a time (reboot everytime), it will be much easier to find out what's wrong.

Can someone please tell me where is "all apps" icon located? I want to replace it, I've searched in Rosie.apk but the one in Rosie.apk isn't the right one. And I don't want to install launchers, so if you don't know where is located don't tell me to change it with some launcher.

Wonder why you ask here....

But.... if you did wipe cache + dalvik after replacing the PNG file in Rosie.apk, and nothing's changed.... you may also try this one :

Code:
system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/common_icon_menu_all_programs.png
Not sure if it is the right one though, coz I don't use Rosie at all. :p

Ok, I tried my best (even though it is not related to my mod). But I can't guarantee if it is the correct method.

It seems that the tricky part is m10 files. You may need VTS to decompile the m10 files (please learn from the website).

In "Rosie.apk/assets/Port/scenes/Rosie_navbar/Rosie_navbar.x10", there is a declaration of an image "home_icon_all_apps.png". But this image cannot be found in Rosie.apk. Instead, it is in the m10 files of Fusion.apk : "Fusion.apk/assets/Default/drawable/shared/Images/home_icon_all_apps.png".

Now, you may try to replace that png file and re-compile Fusion.apk. Please note that VTS may add watermark (unless you buy a license). And if it works, decide if you want to buy VTS. And don't waste time to try the old m10tools, because it is unable to handle m10 images since SenseUI 3.5.

P.S. From the color/shading of the image, it is more likely that "home_icon_all_apps.png" (compare with "common_icon_menu_all_programs.png") is the right one.

Thank you so much for detailed explanation..it works! Thank you!! It's easy to edit m10 file but I just didn't know where is the icon located. Now I might start making some themes/skins :D Back in a days I was modding sonyericsson phones k770/k810 but it was way easier than android modding. And your mod is great ;)

New icon is way smaller than stock icon when showing on the screen, but it's the same size as stock :( I've tried many icons but same thing every time..what could be the problem?
When I change unlock ring it's all ok.

Well, I have no idea.
Just a blind guess, perhaps the PNG must be in 8-bit color.

By the way, may I ask how you edit M10 files without using VTS ?
