PERMANENT SELINUX PERMISSIVE SCRIPT FROM @danarama

You may need to use Uni-init from the play store to make this work... Though it is designed to both add init.d support and force selinux permissive. Install this and reboot twice...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7pNrnN033ACazNnQmcwNlphOVk/view?usp=docslist_api

IF that doesn't work, install Uni-init set it to on(install init.d support) then flash init-permissive.zip again.

Silly question, but none of the greenify/amplify tweaks in the thread you posted would affect network speed would they?
No not that I'm aware of, it's been hit and miss on that from the factory... I do have a thread related to this in the general section...

Common sense isn't all that common

I did all the tweaks for greenify and amplify that were listed (that showed up in the alarms and wake locks for the v10). My battery life is tons tons better now. 9 hours on battery an I'm at 85%

Sweet, WiFi and network tweaks are in the general thread, sorry, I should have been more clear.
