Different devices, different hardware, different bands.
O,really?:D
both have locked bands, both are sprint phones, both are on same qualcom chipset, both have international analog with same hardware ,both have same lte bands on stock, both works on gsm/umts with no problem, so....
question is if there is way to unlock lte bands on nexus , then why we can't do same on htc?

Ultimately they don't have the same hardware. I posed a similar question recently one of the answers I received pointed me to this website that shows the different hardware between the various HTC M8 models. If there are differences between the Sprint M8 and other M8s then there is certainly differences between the Sprint M8 and a Nexus device.

i'm not saying that nexus and m8 is same phone . i just said both are quallcom devices and there is tutorial about unlocking bands on all quallcom devices
i'm saying that every m8 is same . only little different is international verison which have only 16GB , that's all

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacom...id6=5997&id7=5984&id8=6161&id9=5993&id10=5890

they just have locked bands , even gsm version has cdma chip (or whatever it is) . for example , there is absolute same list in "set preffered network type" menu on sprint and t-mobile m8, also there is "LTEonCdmaDevice=1" value in t-mob m8 build.prop as it's in sprint m8
also , every M8 have FM radio , but it's "locked" on sprint stock rom , but it's there (as it's working on other roms) , on the other hand t-mobile has Fm radio on stock rom..

One thing i can't understand in that listing , why it says that H/K edition has LTE1800 (B3), LTE1900 (B25), LTE800 (B26), TD-LTE2500 (B41), when i can only see 25,26,51 bands in EPST?
if only it had B3 (1800mhz) ....

Well as it's been explained to me there are hardware differences, but perhaps you're right. That said to date I have found no one here that has been able to fully unlock a Sprint or Verizon device so it would work with any other bands other than those officially stated.

If you're able to find a way to do it I welcome it because many have longed for the ability to easily move devices between carriers without getting hung up in the CDMA/GSM debate.

I'm trying to get LTE on gsm carrier, that's only my "problem" . other than that it just works fine . H+ and everything is working on sprint m8

If i find a way , i'll definetly post it here , but don't think so... as many others also tried to do that , with more knowledge than me :cyclops:

Damn why firewater doesn't work anymore.. don't have 25$ for sunshine ... And s-on makes it harder to try some tricks on phone

How does one, force roam? I have the mods installed. My area is not a good Sprint coverage area, at all. Yes, I regret moving to Sprint, but /:
Do I choose Roam Only? Or do I need to switch my PRL?
I just can't deal with 5 up and 5 down. Give or take.

Edit: I can't even select Roam Only. It won't stay checked. Home and automatic, do. Viper Rom with latest firmware.

Once you enable Roam Only and go back in, it will show nothing checked (it's a quirk of the hack).
If nothing is checked when you go back in then Roam Only is still enabled.

I've had very little luck with any of this on recent phones.

It used to be you'd want BOTH the Roam Only option AND a corporate PRL. This allowed you to force roaming on Verizon.
But on more recent phones (and/or updates) a custom PRL won't stick (I forget status on M8, PRL won't stick on M9).

Also on phones that PRL would stick I saw little to no effect compared to past years.

That said, stock roaming has improved in my areas.
