SINGLE USER MOD

This Magisk module simply disables the multiple users feature introduced with Android 4.2.
It also removes the guest account to keep our devices more secure.


Installation

1. Download and install mod using Magisk Manager
2. Reboot

Did you download it from GitHub? If so, don't... It's in the repo so use the Magisk Manager to download and install.

v1.2 update

Hi everybody,
Single User Mod just got updated to v1.2.

Now, it works without 'late_start service script' (service.sh).
Look at the first post for manual download.

Problem in installing Single Mod

I am getting the below error in installing this Single Mod through Magisk Manger.
Tried to install through Recovery mode, but not working through that too
Android 7.1.1, Moto G5 S Plus

Which version ? The v1.4 from this topic (topic was not updated to the v1.5; now it's done) or the v1.5 from the Magisk Manager app ?
I'm currently using the v1.5 on Oreo (LineageOS 15.1) with Magisk v18.0 with no problem.

I am waiting for my new computer. I'll update my device and this module when I'll have some time.

I was using the same version as you. It works fine on Oreo, but not on Pie. I'd appreciate it if you could update it, because I feel more secure when the multi user option is disabled. Thanks.

Hey @seebz, good news! Single User Mod is working again on Android Pie after updating Magisk to 18.1. You didn't have to do anything, after all. Magisk itself was the problem.

I have no idea why this feature still exists still. Do people lend their 500-1000 dollar phone all the time and with confidence because the guest account has that AMAZING no call option?
How would you sell it? "I always lend my glass unit to strangers. They can check all the emails, messages, you name it! Just don't be callin' long distance! My wife and i alaays end up with weird spyware but that's just fine. One guy ran off with mine the other day and thanks to the handy guest account, not one call showed up on my bill."
I cannot think of a better way to do installations from... (play the scary music)... UNKNOWN SOURCES!
What a silly useless feature. Thanks for the module. Works great.
