Nope, not using BusyBox. Device is a Xiaomi redmi note 7 (lavender).

I flashed that updated module from github.

Oh, I understand that now. The problem is changing something in Magisk. Unfortunately, I no longer have a phone that can be rooted and I don't have anyone around with rooted phine, so I can't fix the error because I don't know what's changed. But DessertArbiter fixed that problem, here's the link:

Thanks for the update but still not working, same message. Can you look into this and deliver a proper fix @DessertArbiter? Much appreciated. :highfive:

The least you could do is to provide a Magisk log... Always makes troubleshooting so much easier (since you don't have to rely on clairvoyance).

Hi, I had the same issue ... [Not found" while running the cmd "VoSte" after "su"]
I tried re-installing a Magisk 19.0 with Magisk Manager 7.3.2 and i can launch VoSte 1.3.9 Fixed in Terminal Emulator.
So, i can't tell you if it works because when i tried 50 for Media Volume Steps, VoSte 'told me' it was setuped but in fact i never had 50 steps on Media like Music ... Don't know why ...

Edit 1 : It Works great now. Go on System => Developer options => Disable absolute volume (ON)
This previous option gave me a linear increasing / decreasing volume via my AirPods 2 (Bluetooth) and a better sound quality through Bluetooth.

And, i also have working modified steps (50 for media and 28 for call), see the pictures below.

My Phone is a XZ1 Compact from Sony, Oreo 8.0 47.1.A.12.270

Oddly, Disable absolute volume (ON) was already parameter was already active.

So the only way to make this module working is to reinstall Magisk+Manager?
If so we lose any config and module already installed, right? Or will it only overwrite the core?

I'm on the latest versions of Android, magisk and magisk manager with BusyBox installed. Using the latest zip (1.39) from GitHub.

Terminal command VoSte gives me not found. Any fixes?

i dont really know anything about shell programming tbh, i was only able to get it to install on magisk 19+ because only some filenames changed and not really anything else. i've been trying to fix the terminal commands for this module but i havent really made any progress, if someone with more experience can fix it fully i would be grateful, you can fork this repo

The link seems to be dead. Does anybody have a working version and could upload it? Would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey. It is very sad that now this module does not work. How else can I change the volume steps now?

Hey. It is very sad that now this module does not work. How else can I change the volume steps now?

All the module did was to change these props:
Code:
ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps=10
ro.config.media_vol_steps=25
audio.safemedia.bypass=true
You can do that easily with the resetprop tool and a simple boot script.

Could you give an example? The documentation on those pages is very sparse. Do I need to use "sed" to replace existing lines in the script or how does it work?

    su
    VoSte
    Must be write like you see. Uppercase V and S.

    Important: If you have already installed older version when 1.2.0 or other Steps Plus module by some else, you must remove older version i Magisk frst.

    Here's a current version I've put together and tested on a stock/GSI Android 10 with Magisk 20.4: https://github.com/bladeSk/magisk-volume-steps

    It's a super simple Magisk module that adds the right values to system props. It sets media volume steps to 30, but you can easily customize this to any value if you follow the readme.

    fixed for Magisk 19+

    i submitted a pull request, in the meantime you can download it here

    edit: updated to fix "command not found"

    magisk uses binpath folder now, so instead of manually choosing bin location magisk will automatically choose based on the ROM, so the command should work now
