having trouble with display

Hi dev, I flashed your ROM successfully. It booted all right. But after some time the screen got locked and I did not get the display back. I have tried most of the ROMs in this forum I have got similar problems with most of them except that of xhook's cm12.1. I feel the problem is with ambient light sensor. Waiting for your help.

Well,
If you face this issue on other ROM's too, maybe I can't totally help you, but I'll try.
What's your device model and specifications?
Do you also face random screen freezes when you unlock bootloader?
Can you record a logcat of the issue happening? (adb logcat > logcat.txt)

Plus there is also downclock to help
May be is some of your applications eating your battery.

Try using MoKee's Wakelock Blocker or Greenify.
My battery tests were okay, backup was the same of CM12.1
If you want also, try CM12.1.

MIUI is non-open source OS so MI team usually release a patchrom for rom porting but a problem is Xiaomi did not released miui patchrom for Lollipop. (!!!)
Moreover It does not support x86 chip.
