Mophie pack or universal extended battery pack?

Not sure which to pick up for my One. Even with power saving and minimal "optional" usage (only doing GPS navigation I actually need, checking sites I need to, etc), I can barely get through a day. Maybe I was just spoiled by my previous Note 2.

Anyway, the Mophie case seems like my optimal option, and I honestly don't mind the added bulk or weight, but at $100, it's a little expensive obviously. And waiting for a price drop isn't really an option, since I'll probably be picking up the Note 3 later this year, or at the very least some other phone. I don't have any other devices (like a tablet) so having it be specific to the One isn't exactly a bad thing.

An external battery pack would be a lot cheaper per mAh, but not as convenient - unlike the Mophie, I'd have to remember to bring it with, possibly even bringing a bag if I wouldn't otherwise (I like to travel light and keep my pockets limited to keys, wallet, and phone). I'd probably be looking at the Anker Astro3E 10000mAh for $40 or Anker SlimTalk 3200mAh for $24.

To be honest, most of the time I'll need extra battery life, I'll probably know in advance and come prepared (and therefore be able to pack the external battery), but sometimes I'll run into a situation where I'll forget to charge the phone at work after extensive use, and get last minute plans for stuff out of the house and away from a charger, where I likely won't have a bag with me.

Thoughts? Maybe opinions on Mophie users, especially ones who also have external battery packs?

I'm in the same boat! But yeah I've ordered the Anker Astro Slim2 and the Motorola P4000, both are the same size of a phone and have a built in cable.

I looked into it, but if you look at the reviews for the iPhone 5 version, there's a lot of people complaining about it arriving defective or not holding a charge well.

Always go for the universal battery chargers (the good ones of course) if you change phones like me (every 6 months or so) your resale value isn't as good with phone battery packs

I love my mophie juice pack. It serves as both my case and extra juice. I don't mind the extra bulk or weight. I don't ever use my phone without it.

Get the battery and leave the case alone. It will serve you much better with faster charges and some will charge you phone up to 4 times. The iblason is trash and mophie is trash as well.
