Hi All,

I just got my second hand Mi4C here for fe days and I have an issue regarding with the some sensor which is not working. Following is the sensor which is not working :

1. Accelerometer
2. Orientation
3. Gyroscope
4. Magnetic

Try to reflash ROM with Dev or stabel rom didn't solve the issue, flash with TWRP or MiFlash is also the same.
MIUI Custom ROM doesn't help at all.

When I check the sensor availability from sensor box apps, all of sensor is there but there is no data grab from the sensor.

Try to clean all flash with MIUI 6.1.7 china dev flash all sensor working normal but than after restart the problem come back again.
So far only this ROM can work but only at first boot, trying another ROM is not help even on first boot.

Hi, sensor issues are usually caused by corrupt 'persist' partition. Please do:
  1. copy the attached zip file to the main folder of internal storage
  2. 'install' the zip from TWRP
  3. find 'backup.tgz' in the main folder of internal storage
  4. post the tgz here (attach or link to an external server)
If your 'persist' partition is corrupt, I will post a working one for you.

unlock your bootloader, then flash persist.img via fastboot.. you can't find persist.img inside image folder after extracting fastboot rom (tgz) not zip file

Thanks for your assistance, anyway a couple days a go I just realize and do some trial and error.
Somehow when I am not insert SIM 1 with any SIM card, the sensor is working fine without problem. Is it related with the hardware issue?

I am not able to attach file since I am new user, I will send the link from PM.

Hi Luky,

Can you try to unplug the SIM Tray??? I just realize when SIM Tray isn't inserted the sensor is working but, once the SIM tray inserted even there is no SIM card inside the sensor will stop working.

Here is the original persist.img from libra_images_6.1.7 attached.

Extract it and run:
Code:
fastboot flash persist persist.img
It should respond:
Code:
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'persist' (4672 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.156s]
writing 'persist'...
OKAY [ 0.094s]
finished. total time: 0.250s
:good:

My mine act like a weird, the sensor stopped working once the sim tray inserted even there is no SIM inside.
To solve it I need to re-plug the battery connector and put the SIM card back to SIM 2 than it back to normal.
