Most stable ROM with the best performance?

I tried using Lineage OS (14.1-20170413-UNOFFICIAL-libra) but it seems to have performance issues such as lag in certain apps and games. With CM13.1 I didn't experience any similar or at least noticeable problem. Shall I try using the new Official version of Lineage or try others like Resurrection Remix N, AOSP, XOSP or even MIUI?

Try Cozzmys lineage os official version, it's pretty bugfree.

I also recommend official LOS. It's pretty stable and buttery smooth.

I would go with a rom where you can disable system (and other) animations (i think lineage has this possibility). Also, if you want maximum performance backup all your data, format everything (except system) to F2FS in TWRP and clean install Rom. Afterwards flash addonSU Lineage and then gov-tuner mod (only works with "normal" superuser, doesnt work with magisk).
Then you can change gov-tuner profiles for your needs (eg. if u wannah play a cpu hungry game, change govtuner to Gaming mode--> read in govtuner thread how-to).
