EDIT:
Since @data365 stopped porting the Moto cameras for older phones, I haven't posted any new versions recently. However, here's a newer version of the Moto Camera that works for our Quarks. I have not tried it, but @FlavioV has... Thanks to @Steph310 for finding this and writing notes.

New Moto Camera 6.0.86.7 (Nougat 7.1.1) for QUARK
____________
OLD
NEW MOTO G5 CAMERA FOR QUARK
I'm still on RR 6.X. and this one below -- from new Moto G5 -- is newer camera than I had. Thank you to @zys52712 for finding it!
________
I just downloaded this modded APK, and installed it. I then froze the older Motorola (system) camera. The new one shows up as a user app camera. For a few minutes I had two cameras, until I froze the old one.
Everything works well. Yes, it even has professional mode, but I probably won't use that. Video works well too.

EDIT:
Download with Chrome. It should download an an APK. PC version of Chrome always downloads as an APK.
If you are using the mobile Chrome and it downloads as a .BIN file, go to Chrome settings and request the desktop site version of the website (in mobile Chrome) and click on the "download" again so it downloads as APK.
But make sure you are in Chrome. When I click on the link on my phone, "Google" opens the link and it's not actually Chrome browser. (They look very similar.) I know because when I go to the browser settings, it asks me if I want to open in Chrome. Open in Chrome.
______
BE SURE TO REBOOT THE PHONE AFTER YOU INSTALL THE NEW CAMERA!
Video recording may not work until you reboot the phone.
_______
You should probably freeze (or uninstall) any other cameras until you are sure there are no conflicts.
________
I tested both 1080p and 2160p (4K), and the rear camera works fine.
Video works fine on my Quark (Moto XT1225), but I have the native 1080p QUARK camera video resolution chosen for video recording. I did test 2160p (4K) and it also works fine.
The Quark camera specs are this:
Since both my TVs are 1080p, I just kept it on that. While 2160p (4K) works, it doesn't do me any good, even on my 1440p AMOLED Moto Maxx display, you know?

Moto Camera 6.0.90 PRO Unlocked by SerJo87
No debg mode and seems only english language but all works fine
No feature change maybe better picture, sharper.
"Bug fixes and stability improvements.
Added support for full resolution (4:3) image capture as default. If you prefer 16:9 (full screen), please change this by swiping from left to right on the screen for camera settings and changing the "Photo size" to 16:9"
About SD, I don't know because Moto X 2014.
Thanks Serjo87 :good:
ALSO:Works nicely on my Moto Maxx (quark). It can be installed alongside this thread's port if you want to try it before uninstalling.
_____________@rahul9999 @ChazzMatt
Here a TWRP flashable zip of the camera with SdCard enabled: it is possible to do so only if app resides in system/priv-app (MotoCamera has all permissions to write to extSd, only in this folder System grants above permission).
Tested and it works, i suggest to reboot 1-2 times after flashing this .zip.
