6.2.5.16 on playstore
When it's successfully modded to work on Moto Quark, I'll post it here. I saw a mod request today from someone who posted a link in the thread @data365 started (where all these came from). Hopefully it will be done soon.
@data365 is no longer working on these himself, but others are.

Tried to make my own flashable zip by only replacing the app version and rezipping. Didn't work. Thankfully, Titanium Backup was able to integrate the new version for me

Sadly, still dont working on my device, it says "error - restart camera "; and change the build.prop from release-key to test-key still working?, i will do that when my community have root on oreo, bcs supersu and magisk are causing bootloop, anyways, thx for your time <3
Try to set HDR off instead of auto. For me it did the trick on oreo, but, however, I am on droid turbo.

NEW RELEASE: Moto Camera 6.2.14.4
Originally ported to the 2016 Moto Z but still works on our quarks, at least on Oreo
Tested by me on RR-O-v6.1.0-20180814-quark-Mod

Official changelog:
- Bug fixes and stability improvements

For known issues and troubleshoot check the original thread in the Moto Z forums
As seen on the XDA homepage: https://www.xda-developers.com/moto-camera-6-2-google-lens-youtube-live-older-motorola-phones/

Device not supported
On RR Oreo with no other cameras installed

6.2.5.16 from earlier post works fine

What's the newest version that works correctly with RR Oreo? (With ApK tool)

If I remember right I was on version 6.2.14.4 with everything working

I tried 6.2.14.17 and it broke my torch(on 2 quarks). Camera flash worked fine but torch feature was broken across ROM.
Fixed by going back to 6.2.5.12.

Everything else seemed to work fine

No issues with v6.2.14.17 on my quark. I can use torch as long as there's no camera app in the foreground. Maybe another app installed is using the camera? Are both devices on the same rom?

---------- Post added at 16:58 ---------- Previous post was at 16:50 ----------

Just noticed that the latest ports weren't posted here.

Moto Camera v6.2.14.17
What's new (from the Play Store):
- Single finger up/down zoom
- Drag to focus and exposure UI
- Modes dismissal UI update
- Settings screen UI
- Google Lens
- YouTube Live
- Bug fixes and stability improvements

Changes in the mod:
- All features including manual (professional) mode enabled
- The package is changed to com.motorola.cameraone_1 to allow compatibility with stock roms, but you should disable/uninstall older Motorola/Moto Camera (including older mods) before installing this one to avoid conflicts

Thanks! Got it working.

Attaching the error message I was getting before, fix was clearing data in camera app and rebooting before opening app. Must have had a rouge issue from previous camera version or something

I haven't noticed anything related to Google Lens either, and I've seen so many people reporting this as well. Google Lens is available once I tap the camera roll but this feature comes from the gallery app (Google Photos) NOT from the camera itself.

Guess it relies on the Camera2 API which older devices don't have access even if they're running custom ROM's

I have to disagree. If I install the moto camera direct by google play, I have google lens fully functional.
If i install your apk, there is no google lens icon without any changes in the google application.

Are you sure that you have Google Lens? I installed both Moto Camera and Moto Camera 2 from Play Store and neither of them seem to have any reference to Google Lens except for the already mentioned option in the camera roll.

That apk is not mine @dxp420 modded it I just posted it here

I use Google camera, but it focuses angrily when recording video. The last moto camera in this regard is great, but there is one drawback: when I go directly from the camera to viewing photos, I can’t remove photos from there. Is it possible to somehow decide or is this viewer built into the moto camera?

Go to a zoomed out or thumbnail menu when you are in "moto camera gallery"

Now you should be able to swipe pics up to delete

I also am looking for a way for camera to open default gallery but you can delete within "moto gallery" in this manner, there is even an undo button.
