Was about to upload the new update and bam, the power went out. Lucky me right?
Any update on this? I have downloaded the version linked in the OP and my device is still unlisted even when I run it from C:/.

I am looking forward to using this great tool and trying some Xposed Modules (Gravity Box) to improve the original firmware!!

Thanks a Million,
The Capt.

Probably bad motorola drivers or debug mode and the other dev option off... my device was listed even not running the program from C: but only worked when running from c:

You were absolutely right, I was using USB drivers linked from some blog, not the official USB drivers from Motorola. Thanks for that.

Thank you for this all-in-one tool. I'll be giving it a try later with my XT1039.

Just a quick question about the logo - am I right in thinking it contains not only the boot logo and replacement for the bootloader unlocked message, but also the correct icon for battery charging?

It only contains the logo.

Thank you very much.

I've now used your toolkit to root the phone. It was totally effortless! And an added word of thanks for including both CWM and TWRP recoveries.

Your work is much appreciated.

From Motorola...

"You have only yourself to blame.*Once you get the unlock code, your device is no longer covered by the Motorola warranty; in other words, please don't blame us if things go wrong, even if they appear unrelated to unlocking the bootloader."

Sounds like just requesting the code voids your warranty.

I dont wish to sound totally thick here why would you need to unlock the bootloader ?

We can flash ROMs based purely on AOSP rather then just building around the bloat in motoblur/stock ROMs. We can use custom kernels and just get full customization of the phone.

Just recently got my moto g 4g what's the advantages with using the ROM. My sensation is using a custom but don't want to go breaking the warranty unless there are some nice tweaks and it's mostly stable.

I'm on a Mac OS X Yosemite and was only able to unlock the bootloader, tried to flash the custom recovery a couple of times, using different usb ports and no luck at all. It only shows this message after i choose the type of recovery i wish to flash:

"1
/Users/tiagomedeiros/Desktop/PeregrineEasyRecovery-1.3/EasyRecovery.sh: line 379: syntax error near unexpected token `done'
/Users/tiagomedeiros/Desktop/PeregrineEasyRecovery-1.3/EasyRecovery.sh: line 379: `done'
logout"

Any idea on how i can flash it? :(

Just got the device today, fresh out of the box. Everything is fine until the bootloader unlocking step. It displays this text:
Code:
go to http://bit.ly/UpVtsa and read the risks, continue to page 2
Press any key to continue . . .
are you sure???? Do you know the risks? Are you willing to do this??? pause
[B]'$FASTBOOT' is not recognized as an internal or external command,[/B]
operable program or batch file.
enter this code on page 2 as shown in the example:
enter code on the website and press enter
Press any key to continue . . .
Seems that I am not getting a code for my XT1045.
