So your're telling me that I am ****ed and can't get back to stock until a stock FXZ is available?
No, you are not ****'d. Even if the stock rom wasn't available the one in my post worked fine. It boots back to the bootloader first reboot, just reboot normally and it should come up. If it doesn't, did you get any errors on the flash?

Currently with my moto G 4G XT1040 (Brazil), I´m using dalvik (because of xposed framework and gravitybox)... Does it make a huge difference in performance using ART right now? Is it worth giving up on xposed + gravity box? (kitkat 4.4.3) stock rooted + cwm test build.

Ok so I got it working by at the end adding mfastboot OEM fb_mode_clear Cause without clearing that it would just reboot into the bootloader and nothing else

I didn't do any benchmarks, but I could not notice any difference between running ART and Dalvik.

Thanks... I have seen some YouTube videos and it seems the only difference ART is making at this current state is on system initialization... Antutu benchmark actually gets better benchmarks with dalvik and several apps start faster with dalvik... Right now, I'm keeping it...

Thanks!

I had no problem installing gravitybox... I'm on stock 4.4.3... Unlocked bootloader using code provided on Motorola website... Rooted using superboot.bat method, installed xposed rebooted, installed gravitybox rebooted, done... No need to use any special tricks or moves... My model is XT1040...

I have everything working fine on XT1039. I flashed the latest supersu 2.01 through recovery. Maybe try this first? It's definitely not a gravitybox incompatibility (you did install the kk version right?) but an xposed error. I have installed 2.7experimental 1 and it works fine. Reinstall latest xposed and gravitybox kitkat edition after u have rooted again.

I read on a local forum that one guy who bought the G 4G (from Amazon UK) can't hear the other one clearly at all as many others have the same problem on the original G. Anyone who already got it, can you tell us about the call quality?

It's certainly possible that a particular production run could be spoiled by faulty components from suppliers, but if units are coming back to Motorola, there's a good chance it's going to be addressed on a corporate level and such units would be covered under the warranty (assuming they don't reject your claim for an unlocked bootloader.) Although it would be a bummer to get a new phone and doesn't work right.

OTOH, I've personally bought two Moto Gs and one 4G LTE and one Moto E for a friend all from Motorola.com in the US and every one has been perfect. And I'll continue to recommend them to friends.

Purchased the otter box with my moto 4, and the screen protector that came with, doesn't have the cut-out for the ear piece. Make sure you check that, it's reduced my ear piece volume by a lot.. I still have not cut mine out cause I know no water is getting in there?.

That's interesting to know. I was looking at Otterbox for mine but settled on just keeping my cheapo case from my previous Moto G )that I sold to buy my 4G.) I had also bought the same cheap case for my daughter's Moto G but put a screen protector on it.

However, what made me decide against the Otterbox was that the GorillaGlass 3 feels so slick and amazing. It's a joy to touch it.

Did everyone see that torture test on the G?

I wondered if the 4G and the SD slot compromises its water resistance any?

Bought a new XT1040... Everything works fine... Unlocked bootloader easily... Rooted by superboot.bat, installed xposed+ggravitbox, TWRP recovery... Audio is great... Calls are great...

Only problem I have until now is that I can´t run Need for Speed Most Wanted... The app force closes after EA logo appears... Anyone having this problem and know how to fix it?

Is there a recovery available for this device yet?
Yes... A test build... Almost everything works... But to make external sdcard work you need to boot it from PC, using fastboot boot recovery.img command...

If you boot to recovery from phone you will get all the features too, but wouldn't be able to use external storage to make a backup, for example...
