Wow thats great...
Thanks dude.. can you tell me the 16Gb variants price
Here in Brazil there are only two variants:

1) 16gb Colors with 3 extra shells (280-340 dollars). The price vary depending the store. I bought mine for 250 dollars because they were giving discounts to pre order.

2) 16gb with headphones. The price of this variant is between 350-400 dollars. This variant was not launched here yet, just announced.

It is unlikely to be close to 20k.
Samsung is going to refresh the Grand and Quattro in Dec... and Samsung knows how to sell their phones... Also, the Xperia SP is available for 20k and that is a great phone.

Moto has to price this alongside the Xperia M if it wants to sell in India. That is ~12k for single sim and ~14 for dual. This will have to be in that range.. base model at 12-13 and going up to 15-16 tops.

Should know more in a few weeks

This is wrong. There is no 16gb with single chip. The 16gb comes with 2 chips already and it's the most expensive here in Brazil.

The versions are:

8gb 1chip < 8gb 2chip < 16gb 2chip
I think that changes from area to area. The UK already has some 16gb models that take just one SIM card. (Some YouTube reviews say so too)

I think the key for the moto g pricing here in india would depend on the distribution channel - if it is going to be sold by Google play store, would expect a decent pricing close to 15k for the 16gig. However if the 16gb model is a dual Sim model -then I would not buy it as it would have limited Dev support and no CM

That seems to be bad news :( as Brazil and india have been targeted with the dual Sim version and if the 16gig with single Sim version is not launched here. The general market would love it though as india has good demand for dual Sim phones.

Dual-SIM automatically means no CM and Dev Support? :S Why do you say that? The canvas series seemed to have gotten reasonable amounts of dev support and they're dual sim phones

don't get your hopes low...xperia m in UK costs 135£ which is 13500k and in India its 11650-13000. so motor costs there 159£ and 135£ here it'll be 13k for 8gb and 15k for 16gb. considering u.s market it should be 11k for 8gb and 13k for 16gb....lets wait and watch....actually I sold my canvas 4 for sake of moto g and its updates.

Moto and it's gameplay is unpredictable but what the past has shown us is to expect the unexpected moreover the unexpected are costly :D
I researched a bit and found out that Indian pricing are around 6k more than USD converted to INR.
So Moto G may be priced at 17k+ for 8 gig and 18,500+ for 16 gig.
Just a Guss :p

Dual Sim phones usually have proprietary drivers and not released for AOSP builds. Does the MMX canvas HD have CM builds?

Anything above 13.5 K will be a deal breaker for me. I'm hoping to buy 8GB Single SIM variant. Indian retailers will have their gameplay with 16GB and Dual SIM variants. I just wish Moto G 8GB Single SIM exists in India at the time of launch.

What your source? What I read was that Brazil along will India will get the dual Sim model. Brazil has the 16gig single Sim right? Can someone from Brazil confirm this?

Brazil has 16gig 2sim.only from what i read 2 pages back

If launched at a price for 12-13k .. I would definately replace my old s2(hardly has 2 dedicated developers now) wid a new moto g...
Being low cost snapdragon quadcore...it would definately make it to official list of cm and other roms...
Plus i get official kitkat upgrade and most probably next major iteration of android(considering the next version of android comes in an yr)
Only let down for both n4 and mg is lack of external sd...

No AOSP based ROMS, No CM - This would depend if Motorola would release the drivers for the dual Sim version. Also the dual Sim version would be released in limited markets which means limited Dev Support

guys in india we can get galaxy s3 for about Rs. 21K, so if moto g is a mid-range (bugdet) phone it must be available 5-6K less than S3
so if the price is above 15k it won't be a good deal. (Also a good 1A charger costs around 1K, which is not included in moto g )

Limited support from developers, what does it mean?
I'm assuming you are refereing to the post that talked about no dev support if only dual sim is launched in india..
CM and most popular Custom ROM makers dont do dual sim phones...
the ones that we do have for MMX devices are by individual dev... Notice we dont have CM for any of the chinese phones(dual sim)..
thats y limited support...
I advice everyone to go to single sim version if u r into flashing roms and involved in general monkey business with your phone ;)
With CM installer app, getting build updates should be a breeze even for the noobs....
